"Now, get back to sleep", Itachi said in a quite voice when the two of you reached that place. Kisame was still asleep, or so that's what you thought, after all, he can't stay asleep after that scream you let out earlier when Itachi threw the kunai at your direction, he seems to know that Itachi had already taken care of things. You nodded and were just about to lay down again in your previous sleeping spot when Itachi talked again.

"Not there, sleep here", he said in a quite but serious voice, sitting up on the grass and pointing to the spot next to him.
"What?! No way!", you protested, just as quite as him as you shook your head no, pouting and blushing slightly.
"Either you come here, or I come there next to you, choose", he said seriously.
"Why are you insisting that I'd come there?!", you said in accusation, crossing your arms over your chest pouting more.
"I will catch you when you try to go wander around again, that's why", he answered simply. You huffed and sighed in defeat, you don't want to talk more about this, and also you were sleepy. You grabbed your satchel and moved to a spot near him, you yawned then laid down facing the other side and closing your eyes, he did the same, not long after, you have fallen asleep again.

Next morning...

You slowly opened your eyes, waking up to the sound of the birds singing as a new day began. You sat up in your place rubbing the sleepiness out of your eyes as a yawn left your lips. There was already morning light but the sun wasn't up yet.
"You're up...", you looked to your side seeing Itachi sitting down against a tree not to distant from you, wiping some drops of water out of his face after washing it.

"Good morning...", you murmured, getting up and dusting your clothes off and fixing them, Itachi got up as well.

"We should resume our walk", he said, closing up the upper buttons of his cloak, you looked around, a little frown on your face as if you looked for something, then turned back to Itachi and asked:"where is your partner? K-Kisame?".

"He is minding his own business too, [name]", Itachi said casually with a small smirk as you pouted and blushed remembering what happened last night, you hoped he'd forget that soon but no. 

"He will follow us shortly, now let's get going", he added, you nodded at him then said:"yes, but I need to wash my face first", Itachi nodded at you as the two of you headed to that nearby stream.

You bent down near the edge of it and took some clean, pure water in your hands to your lips and drunk it slowly, savoring it, while your hair slipped down from your shoulder and fell against your cheek, hiding your face like a beautiful curtain from the person standing next to you. He wanted to brush his fingers through those locks of hair, or maybe...holds it back for you while you drink or...since when he starting have this kind of thoughts?!
You stood up straight as you had enough water and washed your face, then the two of you started walking, Kisame joined you again soon, not long after, the sun finally came up.

After an hour or so of continued walking, the three of you arrived to a thick, dark and foggy forest, consisting of large and big trees with spikes covering their trunks and branches. Many of them seemed to be dead, the trees shaded the whole place from sunlight, only a few rays of light managed to infiltrate the area through the tangled and twisted branches of the trees.

The place smelled strange...something like a mixture between wild herbs, dust, wood...poison...and death? You gulped noticing the old skulls and bones scattered on the ground, apparently belonging to people who tried to cross the forest...they didn't even advance any further! There were freshly non-human footprints on the ground, indicating that something was here just a short while ago, and from the shape and size of them, you can tell it is something big and dangerous.
