Chapter 31

It was past midnight, you have been sleeping peacefully as the gentle breeze blew softly.
Itachi has been awake in a while, just sitting in his place listening to the calming sound of water flowing and watching you. He can see that you have curled up clutching on your clothes during your sleep feeling cold. He calmly got up from his spot and moved close to you, bending down beside and looking at your beautiful face under the moonlight, he slowly lifted his hand up and placed it on your cheek as a little smile made its way to his lips.

His eyes looked at your body that was laying on the grass noticing the goosebumps on your forearms, just then, a sudden breeze blew strongly lifting the external side of your kimono up, exposing your legs.

The Uchiha's face turned a deep shade of red as he was confused what to do. He quickly grabbed the smooth fabric of your kimono and pulled it back down covering your legs, before taking off his cloak then laying it gently on you to provide you with some warmth. He watched as you smiled in your sleep clutching on his cloak, pulling it closer to you and burying your face in it, he smiled slightly as he got up then went back to his place closing his eyes, trying to have some sleep.

It was close to dawn, you woke up from your sleep then sat up in your place, rubbing your sleepy eyes with a yawn, as you then noticed that you have been covered with a familiar cloak. You quickly looked at Itachi to see him still sleeping in his spot against that tree in his attire that consisted of a simple pants and a matching shirt tied with a white belt, without his cloak.
You blushed knowing that it was him who covered you from the cold, first he used his straw hat to shade you from the sun and now he covered with his cloak...

You got up from your spot calmly, careful not wake up any of the two guys, and walked up to Itachi, gently covering him with his cloak, but as usual, you couldn't resist the urge to stare at him, at his face...

He wasn't asleep as you thought, he was awake knowing every move you have made, and feeling how close you were, looking deepily at him, admiring his handsome and peaceful features.

You quickly moved back from him, why are you being like this? You're not just curious...you are starting to like him. You were starting to feel as if it is not like you anymore...

He was attractive, a bit too much

You left him and hurried back to your place, grabbing your basket and preparing the tools you will need for making the elixir.
You took one more look at him, but then something else caught your attention, the flower buds had started to bloom.
You gasped in awe as you looked at it, forgetting about everything else from its beauty.

The full moon was exactly vertical on the tree with its light falling directly on it coming from the rounded opening in the ceiling. The tree was glowing with a beautiful calming light, enough to brighten the the whole hall you are in. The white flowers have been blooming slowly spreading a sweet fragrance all over the place, some of them were still closed, others already fully bloomed having a shape similar to tulips but slightly more rounded and bigger.

You smiled as you grabbed your basket and walked toward it to pick some of those pretty flowers, you had to choose only those impeccable and flawless ones, which have fully bloomed, with a big size and perfect petals.

You managed to get some from the lower branches near the edge of the lake easily, yet they weren't enough, you had to enter the water to get more flowers from those far low branches in there. You took a quick look around, seeing that both Kisame and Itachi were still in their spots sleeping from tiredness, you giggled quietly as you lifted up your kimono, using your obi to tie it up and keep it high above your knees, then folded your sleeves up showing your Uchiha bracelet as it sparkled under the light. 

You took off your shoes then took a first step in the water, smiling as you felt the refreshing cold water running against your skin while the bebbles massaged the soils of your feet. You slowly walked more further in the lake, hearing the calming sound of water flowing as your hair swayed on your back, then you started picking up flowers carefully and placing them in your basket.

You took all the flowers you could reach, but there was that stubborn and beautiful one you couldn't get. You couldn't advance more in the lake since water was already reaching your upper thighs, you tiptoed and extended your hand to grab it but still you couldn't, as it was just a few centimeters away from your hand.
Suddenly and without you noticing the presence near you, a hand extended from behind you and picked up the flower easily, as you turned around quickly, you found Itachi as you expected.
You were just staring at his face under the moonlight silently, your cheeks turned an adorable pink color, you couldn't move away or look away from him, your eyes were locked with his black ones looking deepily into them as you could almost see their pupils. 

He just stood there wearing his cloak looking down at your eyes and face as well, he slowly moved his hand toward your head and tucked the flower behind your ear instead of putting it in the basket. your lips slightly parted from the gesture as you blushed more but you just stood there looking at him as his fingers gently caressed your cheek.
