I do not own pic!
It was already noon, you entered the underground hideout again, walking down the staircase step by step, careful not to trip or fall. Just like the first time, Itachi was ahead of you while Kisame made sure to close the door and follow after.
You walked to the previous room where Deidara has been kept, while the two men stayed in the hall. You found Deidara still laying in his place alone sleeping, you frowned at this, how could they leave someone in this state alone? You didn't want to waste any time, you put your things aside and took your tools out when you heard some footsteps coming toward you through the door. Looking up, you found it was the blue haired woman, Konan as you knew she is called."Did he wake up?", you asked while checking his pulse and breathing, she nodded then said:"yes, just for a short while yesterday evening".
"What did he do or say? Did he eat?", you asked placing your hand on his forehead.
"Yes, he only asked to drink some water then slept again saying that he felt so dizzy and sleepy"
"Well, that's okay, he felt dizzy because of the medicine I gave him on purpose to help him sleep, I didn't want him to get worked up about his arm before I get back...", you muttered, taking out one of the three small bottles filled with the elixir, and filling an empty syringe with Its content."I will leave you alone with him now", Konan said exiting the room, you proceeded in injecting the sleepy guy's arm with the elixir. His arm was dead with a dark color, no longer alive and flexible, you injected some drops in different points of his arm including his hand and fingers.
You used all the bottle's content, you then started changing his bandages and removing the surgery's stitches, noticing that only few scares hasn't fully healed yet, your work had really paid off and your journey to Konoha was a real addition to your skills! You then sat next to him on the chair, watching wity much attention the skin around the points where you have injected him starting to change color slowly from a lifeless dark color into a lively fair one. The process was slow, it would take hours till all of his cells are regenerated and restored. You decided to just take a rest on the chair beside him for a while, meanwhile, Konan was out of the room questioning the two men about their mission with you.
"Deidara should be really grateful, he has no idea what did we went through to get him the medicine", Kisame said with a grin, while the blue haired woman just looked at the two of them silently and listening.
"Dead hands, ghosts, giant spiders and monsters...what else Itachi?", Kisame added, looking at his partner who seemed a bit pissed off then replied: "your constant nagging, Kisame"The blue-skinned man didn't seem to be bothered with this as he just continued talking: "but once we arrived to the tree we were looking for, we forgot all that pain", he said as Konan just kept listening, curious to hear more about it.
"It was a giant and very old tree, to be honest, it was the most beautiful tree we have ever seen, right Itachi?"
"Yes, Kisame", Itachi said briefly, avoiding more talk with his partner.
"But the most beautiful part was when the tree's flowers bloomed, it was an unforgettable scene and memory, isn't that right Itachi?", Kisame said with a smirk while the Uchiha gave him a side glare, not saying anything to him as he knew what he was referring to.
"Too bad that didn't last long", Kisame said with a fake sigh looking at Itachi then at Konan, who was waiting for Kisame to finish his narration."So nothing suspicious happened? You didn't encounter any enemies?", Konan asked while Itachi quickly replied with a simple no, before Kisame would answer her and gets into deep, unnecessary details about how he almost fought with the guy who wanted to pay for [name]'s food, and how he shared a room with her, and how he picked the high flower for her and tucked in her hair instead of putting it in the basket...really, really unnecessary details that the others shouldn't know about.
"Alright then. That's fine, you two can go take a rest for now, but stay nearby in case we needed you", she said leaving them and walking back to you, seeing you sitting next to Deidara."How is he?"
"He will wake up later, maybe at night or dawn, by then, I hope his arm will be totally fine", you said with a smile.
"So your work here is done?", she asked.
"Practically yes, but I will stay with him until he wakes up and I make sure he is totally fine", you replied, as she just nodded and left. Of course, you would never leave your work half done, you always had to make sure of the smallest details, and so, you wouldn't leave until you make sure the thing you have come here for, which is healing Deidara is completely done.Night had fallen, you were next to your patient watching over him, waiting for him to open his eyes as you looked at his arm that has been getting restored slowly through time.
You had fallen asleep next to him, with your cheek resting in your palm as the torches lightened up the room in a calming glow. You slowly opened your eyes feeling someone tapping on your shoulder gently, looking up, you saw Itachi holding something for you to take.
"You need to eat", he said in his calm voice handing you a bento box that you took from him while muttering a faint thank you as he nodded and left. You forgot to have dinner but he didn't, what game is he playing? If he doesn't wanna clear things up about what happened then why is he still caring? What is his purpose?
You took the chopsticks and opened your box and started eating your food, looking at the flames and thinking more about this Uchiha whole thing. After finishing your food, you put the box and the chopsticks in a nearby trashcan then sat down next to Deidara again."...whoah...w-who is this girl?! Hey! Who are you?! Hm"
