I do not own pic!
It was a beautiful sunny morning, you were alone at home while Noriko had already headed to the hospital.
You were in the space where you work and check on patients, you were formulating new eyedrops for Itachi when an idea came to your mind, why not add some of the elixir to them? It will make it even more powerful, not just reduce pain and damage but also regenerates any dead parts or cells in his eyes, especially since that he uses the sharingan much, a few drops of the glowing liquid obtained from the mysterious tree can really enhance his vision. You hurried to your closet where you usually keep your things and medicines, you opened it and took out the bag you have taken with you during your mission with Kisame and Itachi, you opened it searching for the two small bottle of the elixir, and that's when you found a surprise waiting for you, only one bottle is there.
"No way!", you exclaimed searched your bag carefully, the closet, the room...no, ever since you have came back you didn't check your satchel and so you didn't notice one of the two bottles is missing until now, you surely lost it before you get back home, did someone take it? Itachi? Impossible, he could have just asked you for it if he wanted it, Kisame? Same as Itachi, Konan? She also could have just asked you for it, even if she wanted it why to take just one and not the two of them? Deidara? He was still laying in his bed when you left, he wouldn't even know what is it or what it's used for? Did it fall from you? In the forest? Or when you were crossing the bridge? Either it has fallen from you, or has been stolen by someone you don't know..."I will use some drops from the remaining one, then I'll hide it very well...", you muttered with a sigh of big disappointment, you lost something that can be only obtained once every hundred of years, it didn't only bother you how much it would cost but the actual value of it! you managed to get it after passing through all those hardships and being very lucky to actually attend the tree's blooming...
Days had passed, and there was no sign from Itachi yet, you managed to pass time with your friends or in the hospital while waiting for him, but still, your mind was always thinking of him, about him, what is he doing? Is he okay? Does he think of you too?
You were in your room late at night studying some of the scrolls you managed to copy secretly from the hidden leaf and sand villages, they had a common topic: seals.
Placing seals and removing then, types of seals, what they can be used for...it was a very interesting subject, one of the other subject you learnt in those two villages, even though it wasn't included in the healing and medical techniques you were allowed to learn, you wanted to learn it, you will master it, all kinds of it.
You had fallen asleep in your bed after getting tired from studying, you were hugging your blanket snuggling it closer to you, your window was opened as the daylight entered the room through it, while the sun wasn't still up yet, there was a gentle morning breeze blowing slightly playing with curtains. You were still asleep when a bird landed on the frame of the window, looking at your sleeping form, a crow.
The crow remained calm and silent as it then jumped to your bed pulling on your blanket with its beak, feeling the slight movement, you slowly opened your eyes.
At first you were surprised, waking up as the first thing you see is a crow in your bed, staring at you with it's dark eyes isn't something usual.
It didn't flee or fly away even after you shuffled and sat up in bed, but instead it jumped in your lap, you were still a bit sleepy and confused, why it's here? and why it seems that it wants something from you, is it hurt? Can't fly? Hungry?
No it's familiar, you placed your hand on its head and caressed it gently, then you spotted something tied to its leg, a small piece of paper, a letter. You quickly untied the thread around it and took the paper in your hands, unfolding it and reading what's written on it.
"[name], I hope I can see you today if possible, meet me at noon, in the meadow, as usual, Itachi".
"Itachi!!", you squeaked happily, blushing slightly as you held the paper close to your chest, a letter from Itachi, an appointment, a date...
The crow was watching you from the frame of the window for a while, before flying away again. Itachi said he will let you know when you are gonna see him again, and so, that's his way to work things out, you smiled getting up from bed and heading to the bathroom to make yourself ready to go to the hospital. It was lunch time
"Lady Noriko, I will not come back to the hospital at the afternoon, everything is okay and there is no emergencies or serious cases", you said getting your things ready to leave while she nodded and said:"okay, so are you gonna meet him?", you stood still in your place, how did she know? She was just chuckling at your reaction as your face heated up.
"Yes...", you said with a faint voice, avoiding her eyes as she just chuckled at you more.
"Okay sweetheart, but be careful okay? At least have some lunch before you leave or buy something to eat on your way. I don't have to remind you to leave a sufficient space between the two of you", she said continuing to do what she was doing, you nodded with a shy smile back, so she isn't disappointed that you're gonna see him? That's good. You grabbed some food on your way and headed outside the village, you walked all the way to the forest then to the meadow. It was just calm as usual, only the sounds of leaves moving with the breeze and birds singing can be heard, as some squirrels moved around.
"Maybe I'm a bit early...", you muttered, looking around searching for him, as he didn't appear yet, just as you finished your words, you heard some footsteps nearing you, you quickly turned around to find him standing right in front of you, with a small smile on his face.
"Hi".
