"Why not get back to the leaf?!", Sasuke was surprised by Itachi's answer, he knows he loves Konoha so much and that he sacrificed a lot for its safety...why not get back to it now when everything is clear and the truth has been revealed?! At a time when it is peaceful?
"That's my choice, Sasuke...", Itachi said calmly, things had changed, for him and in the leaf as well...
"You did everything you can to protect it! You sacrificed yourself and the clan to avoid a civil war that was about to start there! You joined the Akatsuki to keep protecting it! Why don't you want to be back now?! Itachi! everyone knows the truth! You will not be considered as a traitor but as a hero!", Sasuke insisted clutching his hands into fists, he can't let his brother's sacrifices go in vain, he wants him to see the result of his work, to live in Konoha and enjoy its peace as he always wanted.
"Even though Sasuke...I have been accepted here when I had nowhere else to go to, I have commitments here, my wife and child are happy and I feel at ease here, we are settled down here, the hidden leaf now has several tough shinobi to protect it, it has you, Sasuke, I still love Konoha, I will help and stand for it if needed...but I guess I did all I can for it now, I think I deserve some peace and rest as well...", Itachi replied with a smile, he loves Konoha, but now things changed, his family is here and he found peace here...

"But brother! You belong there not here! Our home is there...", Sasuke said not really willing to give up easily, though what he said is relatively true, but Itachi had something else in mind, as he narrowed his eyes slightly hearing brother's words.
"Sasuke, home is not a certain place we lived in...home is wherever we feel we are wanted and loved, it is wherever we feel like to be ourselves without pretending otherwise or hide the truth about ourselves, home is where our beloved ones are...to me Sasuke, home now is wherever [name] is, she is my home", Itachi said that with a small smile, remembering the time when you were his only refuge, when you were the only light in his life, when you accepted him and loved him unconditionally despite everything around you giving you a hint to just leave and get away from him. He remembered how you held onto him despite who he is, he remembered those moments when the bloody past was haunting him and you were comforting him with everything you have for no reason...just because your heart loved him so much, he remembered how everything that hurt him hurt you as well, as you shared his pain with him, he remembers the cold and rainy nights when your small room were his only warm safe place, the place where he threw everything behind him and just relax.

"She is your home...", Sasuke repeated in a low voice looking down as he then lifted his eyes up to meet his brother's, "then, you can all come over, and there we will be all together", Sasuke said seriously, if [name] is the reason Itachi doesn't want to be back to the leaf...then he just needs to convince her to come as well, and so Itachi will not have a reason to refuse.
"As I said before Sasuke, we are good here, and the village needs us too, we can't leave everything behind and just leave, I want to stay here and that's my desire ...", Itachi said calmly, something that made Sasuke pout a little bit.

"Fine, you told me how you have been back to life...but I have a question about your relationship with [name]...how come that I never met her before? I never saw her before in the hidden leaf? Why did you spare her? Why did you took her, the only Uchiha girl for yourself...you know...that's kinda of selfish...", Sasuke said making Itachi chuckle a little bit, he expected some sort of question like this, in fact, everyone who found out about Itachi's relationship with [name] Uchiha, either from the Akatsuki or the hidden leaf, thought the same thing.
"Sasuke, [name] Uchiha hasn't been born or raised in Konoha, she was born here and grow up here, her parents died when she was too young, in fact, she didn't even know about her true identity until she went to the leaf to learn about medical ninjutsu since she was interested in learning everything about health care, there she found out the meaning of the symble on the bracelet her parents left for her. I met her accidentally here when I came looking for a treatment for some sickness I suffered from, that was before she went to the leaf and found out about herself being an Uchiha, but when I told her my name, the woman who raised her knew who I was, she warned her about me, but...it was love from first sight, both me and her ignored the fact that we should stay apart from each other, later she found out about herself being an Uchiha, I had to get her to heal someone in the Akatsuki, though she refused at first but I kinda forced her, and soon...we knew...we fell for wach other...and things got more and more developed ever since then...", Itachi said smiling, as he explained to his brother how you two met.

"You mean...you didn't know who she was? It was all by accident?", Sasuke asked raising an eyebrow slightly, what a beautiful coincidence that makes him meet [name] Uchiha first.
"I guess no one knew there was another Uchiha survivor aside from you, including me", Itachi with a nod at what his brother had said.
"I see...", Sasuke sighed, maybe it is best to leave them stay here as they want...
"It is true I'm gonna stay here, but Sasuke, you're welcome here anytime and for as long as you want, we will visit the leaf as well for sure, I don't mean to cut my bonds with it, it is just that things are a bit different now", Itachi said with a litte smile.
"Yes of course, once I go back to the leaf I'm gonna let them know you're here, and let them be ready for your visit", Sasuke said with a nod.
"Yeah, I will let you know when I will come, but it will take a little while", Itachi said in a calm voice, such a visit will need some time to be organized and prepared for.
"Why? [name]?", Sasuke asked, with a little smirk on his face.
"Yes, well...I only came back a few weeks ago, and the way I left her before hurt her so much, I want to first make it up to her before I can think of other things", Itachi said with a little sigh, this left Sauske curious about the day Itachi left you, what happened and how he did it? Did he let you know he was gonna face him off?

"What happened? How did you let her know you're leaving?", Sasuke asked in a calm and curious tone as Itachi closed his eyes briefly, remembering that day...
"I didn't tell her...I wasn't courageous enough, I just left the morning after our wedding, a wedding she even accepted to have no ceremony for, just me and her, I left so suddenly, she waited for me to be back, she thought I just needed to take care of some usual matters, but I didn't come back, and then she looked for me and she found us...", Itachi said, not really wanting to continue and say the other part...the part when you found him laying lifeless next to Sasuke.
".......", Sasuke couldn't say anything as he just clutched his fists tighter...
"That's when she did her attempt to revive me and thought she failed, that had alsmot costed her her own life.., my body had been taken by Obito as she fell unconscious, she then recovered with the help of the elixir Obito was keeping as he inject her with it, she then found out she was pregnant with my son Tatsu that you have met earlier, she still had hope I'd be back and tried to take care of her and the baby, and later she knew I have been brought with the edo tensei which meant I was really dead and she lost hope I'd be back, those were very hard times on her, she managed to be strong and pass through it, my son has been born, and after alsmot four years of thinking to be dead...I was back...I can't leave her now even for a day, I don't want to hurt her more than I already did, I will at least wait until I make sure the wound is healed, or at least it doesn't hurt as before...", Itachi said calmly, explaining to Sasuke, one of the reasons he can't leave now, [name] needs him so much at the moment.
"I understand this, but I still insist to remain in touch always", Sasuke said as he nodded in understanding.
"Of course, Sasuke, I just need some time until things are totally fine here", Itachi said with a smile.
"She seems pretty sensitive", Sasuke muttered after a while of silence.
"Yeah, the way she has been raised, all calm and peaceful might had an impact on her sensitivity, but still...I made promises to her and made plans with her for our future, and it all crumbled down...it was like I fooled her and let her down, but in fact...I just really wished I'd live and have a real peaceful happy life with her", Itachi said with a smile looking aside at the framed photo of you, him and Tatsu in the meadow, as Sasuke noticed it as well and smiled slightly.

"Your wish has been granted, thanks to her of course", the younger Uchiha brother said with a small smirk, making Itachi look back at him, they talked a lot about you and Itachi, but what about Sasuke?
"And what's about you, Sasuke?", Itachi asked with a smile, that seemed like a smirk.
"What?!", Sasuke raised an eyebrow in confusion, what exactly does Itachi mean?
"Have you found someone?", Itachi cleared up his question as he smiled.
"I have a wife and a daughter...my daughter's name is Sarada, and her mother is Sakura", Sasuke said calmly.
"That's very nice, we would really like to meet all together some time", Itachi said giving him an eye-closee smile, as Sasuke nodded.
"Of course", Sasuke said as the two then noticed the little child standing at the doorframe looking at them, as if he didn't want to interrup them and waited for permission.
"Tatsu, come here...", Itachi called him and mentions for him to come over which Tatsu did.
"Mom wants you at the kitchen for a while dad", Tatsu whispered in Itachi's ear, he seemed to be sent by you for some matter.
"Alright, I will be right back Sasuke", Itachi said as he excused himself and left the room, leaving the two sitting together around the table.
