Chapter 34

Kisame found his room first and got in to check it out and have some rest, while you walked with Itachi headed to your room. It wasn't far from Kisame's, yours was just in the end of the long corridor while Kisame's was in the beguining of it.
You looked at your surroundings noticing that the inn isn't so big, but still was so clean and organized.
"Here...", you turned to look at Itachi hearing his voice, seeing that he had unlocked the door and was waiting for you to enter. You hesitated for a while...are you sure you will be able to have a calm night while staying in the same room, especially after what happened under that tree? Do you really have to?

You stepped in and walked a bit further looking around when the door got closed as you heard his footsteps behind you. You closed your eyes as your grip on your satchel tightened, except from when healing, you've never been in a closed room with a man before, you swallowed hard, it was making you so anxious and nervous.
"[Name]? Are you okay?", he asked as he noticed that you didn't move from your spot while you bite your lower lip.
"Its just...that I haven't been with a strange man in a closed room alone before...I'm not feeling okay with this honestly", you muttered, turning around to face him, fear cleared in your eyes, as he opened the window letting some air enter.

Strange man? Now that you know it, he is no really a stranger, but extremely  dangerous...and attractive...that was the problem.

"[name], I already told you, I have no intentions to hurt you", he said calmly looking back at you, you sighed as you walked toward the bed and sat on the edge of it putting your things down.
"Not hurt me, I'm just nervous because of this situation", you said then looked up to see the Uchiha leaning against the wall beside the window, arms crossed over his chest.
"Nervous?", he asked, looking at you causing your cheeks to turn a deep shade of red, yet some tears formed in the corners of your eyes.
"N-no! That's not what I mean! It's just that I'm not used to this whole thing, I'm not...", you said looking aside blushing more, your breathing getting quicker as your hands had gotten sweaty.

"[name], there is no need to worry. I only wanted to be with you to make sure you stay safe during this mission.I have no other intentions, I will sleep on the floor,", he said just as calm as always, taking a chair from nearby and sitting on it getting some rest, you remained silent looking down, thinking for a while.

"No, you don't have to...", you said as you noticed that there is nothing he can use to sleep on, also, you trust him and what he says.

He didn't say anything, just looked at you with an expressionless face, probably not expecting this from you and waiting for you to talk more.

"W-we can both sleep on this bed, but we will stay as far as we can from each other", you finished your words avoiding his eyes while he just looked at you, then smirked looking away through the window.
"Sure, as long as you are comfortable with it", he said passing a hand through his hair and taking his headband off while doing so. You looked at his soft hair moving with each touch from his hand, then falling down on his face and cheeks like a silky black curtain.
"Alright then, you stay here [name] and have some rest. I will be back later to take you have some dinner", he said standing up and walking toward the door then opening it and leaving, giving you some privacy.

You let out a deep sigh as you fell backwards on the soft mattress, spreading your arms all over it and closing your eyes, finally having some peace and a roof to sleep under. You got up and stretched your arms then headed toward the bathroom to take a hot shower to help you relax more.
You walked out of the bathroom after a while, with your hair dripping wet as you were drying it with a towel. You felt refreshed, you smiled as you sat again on the bed with the towel on your head as you heard a knock on the door, before it got opened and Itachi walked in.
"If you are ready, we will go eat now", he said noticing your wet hair and your cheeks that turned red from heat of the bath, you looked cute. You nodded, putting the towel aside and getting up, wearing your hair in a bun with bangs framing your face as you walked up to the door, then the two of you exited the room locking the door again.
