"[name]? Are you okay?", Itachi asked, sitting up in his spot, noticing the change in you.
"I saw...a dream...", you murmured, in a faint voice, remembering the child's face, and that sweet kiss he have given you simultaneously with Itachi's.
"And what was it about? You seem confused and disturbed", he asked, placing a hand on your cheek, his hand was warm and soft...

"Itachi...I...I'm cold", you ignored his question and whispered, snuggling to him as he remained silent, then smiled and took off his haori and placed it on you, then pulled you closer to him gently stroking your back.
"It was a sweet dream, but confusing", you muttered as you rested your cheek on his chest.
Was it a prophecy like the dream you have seen before meeting Itachi? Or it was just because you were thinking about you and Itachi a lot? You didn't want to tell him, at least not now, he might think you're just getting ahead of yourself.
He didn't ask anything else, you seemed that you don't want to talk about it, so it is better not to push you any more.
You just remained close to him, observing your village from a distance, you tangled your fingers in his necklace playing with it gently, feeling his arm pulling you closer to his chest as his hand kept a hold on your arm.

He looked down at you, seeing how you hold onto him, how you love him, he have to say it, he is lucky to have met you, it seems that life is giving him a second chance to live peacefully, to have a family, to love and be loved.
Your village was small and pretty far from the leaf and the rest of the ninja nations, there is nothing wrong in settling down in this village with you and starting a whole new life.
That would have been the case, if he wasn't a member of the Akatsuki, and if his brother wasn't after him...
Both of you were thinking about your future together, yes there are obstacles and barriers in your way, but...you love each other, and that all that matters! That should he enough!

No, not always enough, difficult circumstances play a major role in deciding the future of your relationship.
You knew this and so he did, and both of you choose to ignore that fact, at least for now.

"...'tachi let's go home", you muttered, starting to feel more sleepy as you rubbed your eyes.
' 'tachi?', he repeated in his mind...you are so cute [name], in every way...
"Alright, come on", he said, getting up and pulling you up with him.
You two walked back toward the center of the village. The first day of the festival had ended, people were still hanging out and talking, Itachi walked you back home, he was putting his mask on his face this time so no one would recognize him, as you giggled at how cute he looked with the cat ears on.
"Itachi, don't forget to bring your cloak and other things with you", you said as you walked, nearing your home as he nodded.
You parted ways as you got at a distance away from your house, you continued your way back home while he headed to the inn.

"Did you have fun?", you flinched in surprise at Noriko's questions while you were trying to close the door without making a sound.
"Y-yes, How about you my lady?", you asked with a smile, of course she wouldn't go to sleep before making sure you're home first.
"I did, luckily there were no accidents this year, kids sometimes hurt themselves with the fireworks", she said with a chuckle.
"I used to hurt myself sometimes when I was a child", you said with a giggle as she nodded.
"Have you seen Itachi?", your cheeks blushed slightly at this question.
"Yes...", you muttered, avoiding a direct eye contact with the grey haired woman.
"Well, since you're back home, I will go ahead to sleep, goodnight", she said with a yawn, making her way to her room while you grinned and wished her a goodnight as well, heading upstairs to your own room.

You changed into a comfortable white juban, turned off the lights and opened the window, it wasn't long after when he came, like the first time, he didn't make any sound.
You quickly closed the window, put on the curtains and turned on the bedside lamp, lightening the room in a calm glow. You took his cloak and headband and his other stuff and put them in your closet, then took out of it the futon spreading it on the floor, along with the blanket and the pillow, the  placed your bedding next to his as well.
"Before we get to sleep...", you said in a low voice locking the door, "we should brush our teeth", he said as you smiled and nodded, taking his hand and heading to the bathroom.
The spare toothbrush he used the last time was still there, he used it as you used your own, you observed your reflections on the mirror for a while, it was your first time seeing you together in one picture from a different angle, how do you two look together?

The only source of light in the room has been left on, you laid down next to him, facing him while he did the same, you observed his handsome features with half opened eyes, and as if you have read his mind, you held his hand in yours like the first time, while his fingers of his other hand dived in your hair playing with it gently.
"Did you like the festival Itachi?", you asked, closing your eyes and enjoying his touch.
"Yes, especially your dance [name]", he said with a small smirk, as you smiled and thanked him.
"Itachi, your kimono and shoes, leave them here when you go tomorrow, you will wear them the next time come here", you said smiling.
"Next time? Sure", he said, while you nodded slowly.

"You sound sleepy [name]", he muttered after a little while, as his fingers were still playing with your hair.
"Yes, it's so warm and calm with you", he didn't say anything at your words, but you can feel him tightens his hold on your hand.
It was hard on him to hold his emotions back when he is with you, you are so easy and spontaneous, he just finds himself feeling comfortable with you, and of course, he can't ignore the strong attraction he has towards you, he has grown a passion for your soft touch and your beautiful face, your pretty eyes and your soothing voice, your care and gentleness, your love for him...
He looked down at you, you were so relaxed in his presence, the thing no one else would do except for you [name].

What is he gonna do if he has been put in that situation again? What would he do if he had to kill you?

"Sleep [name]...", he whispered softly in your ear, just thinking about that is enough to upset him so much, no, he is not gonna commit the same mistake again, he will protect you not kill you, he will put you first this time, precious people must be protected...and loved.
