Itachi was watching you as you slept beside him, he needs to get these kind of thought out of your head, you can't keep thinking he will leave you again, he changed...
"I'm so sorry...", he whispered as he pulled you closer and kissed your head then closed his eyes as he turned the lights off, trying to fall asleep since he had a busy day tomorrow.

You have been at work checking on patients and taking care of new ones, you tried to keep yourself busy so you won't think much of what happened the previous night with Itachi and how you lost control over your 'selfish' emotions. Tatsu was at his school after you dropped him at it this morning, Sasuke decided to take a tour in the village since it is his last day at it, as Itachi went to the security department to make some preparations and set things right before his leave, he put someone confident as a replacement for him until his coming back, he increased the number of guards all over the village and in the area around it, and even around your house in the farthest side of the village.
Everything was prepared, but he still needed to go see someone.

"I'm coming", the old lady opened the door as she was home since you were taking charge of matters at the hospital at the day.
As she opened the door she found Itachi standing in front of her as he greeted her properly, without much questions she let him inside her home welcoming him, wondering what's the reason of this unexpected visit.
After the formalities and having some little chatting, it was finally time for Itachi to talk to the lady and tell her why he had come.
"May I know the reason for this sudden visit son?", she asked him with a smile, making him smile back as put his cup of tea down.
"M'lady, you already know my brother had came here to look for [name] and so he found out I'm here", he started, making the lady nod at him to continue.
"And so, I decided to speed things up and go back to Konoha with him to clear everything up about mine and [name] situations rather than going alone on another time, and also, I have to go there to make other preparations...", he said looking at her as she took another sip from her cup of tea and nodded at him then said:"I understand, so what's the matter with it?".

"I and [name] had a quarrel last night about this...", he said in a low voice as she sighed, she knew you will not like the idea of him leaving, even for a short while...
"And?"
"Well...I explained to her that I will stay there for one day or two at the most to set things right, we then talked more and we made up, but still...I know she is still sensitive about this subject, even though she is trying hard to get over it,  she still thinks I might go and leave her alone again, which is not true", Itachi said putting his cup down on the table for a while.
"I know son...but I guess I can understand her over worrying about you, just put yourself in her place...imagine you lose her forever...it will be hard to just think about passing through the same experience again, and that's what's making her super sensitive about this", the lady said with a small smile.
"I know, and that's what she is afraid of, which I will not allow ot happen again, that was a mistake in the first place...", Itachi said with a sigh, remembering the time he left...

"Alright son...so, how can I help you with this?", the lady said with a bright and gentle smile.
"M'lady, I came here to let you know as well that I'm leaving for a while, and to ask you a favor, to look after [name] and Tatsu while I'm gone until I'm back", he said as he looked at her eyes.
"Well son, you don't even have to ask me this", Noriko said with a nod, her smile never leaving her lips.
"I know, but still, I had to do it, I want you to not let [name] feel lonely and forgotten while I'm there...", he said in a low deep voice, looking down at his reflection in his cup of tea.
"Alright son, since you said you will be back, I will take good care of [name] and little Tatsu", she said with a little chuckle, making him smile slightly and nod at her.

"Thank you so much for all your support and help...from the beginning of mine and [name]'s relationship until now...through the good and the bad times...", Itachi said with a grateful smile on his face.
"No need to thank me...I knew the feels, I lived it once when I was young too...I couldn't stand in the way between you and her though things seemed hard to be acceptable at the beginning, but when seeing the look in yours and [name]'s eyes whenever you two are together...it can't be stopped...", she said with a chuckle, remembering the look in his and your eyes when he first came asking for medication.
"Was it that obvious?!", Itachi muttered, slightly surprised as a cute pink color dusted his cheeks.
"Of course!!", she replied with a chuckle, sipping more of her tea.
"Well...I didn't think it was that obvious...um...my lady...what happened to you?", he asked her, feeling curious about the part when she said she passed through the same feeling as you...

"What do you mean son?", she asked, not really knowing which part he means.
"You said you also fell in love in the past...what happened?", Itachi asked again, taking his cup again in his hand to take a sip from it, and then the lady smiled as she knew what he meant.
"Well...I was a young girl, pretty and hyperactive...I fell love with a handsome young man...", she started saying as she looked at the outside with a smile on her face, then continued, "and just like you and [name], things evolved quickly, we had no doubt we were the one for each other..."
"Then?"
"After around two years, we decided to get married, and it was the most beautiful day of my life...but...after a few months, my husband got sick, and his illness got more serious quickly, and then he left me suddenly, after just a few months after our wedding. Unlike [name], I didn't even try to save him because I was clueless...we didn't even have a chance to spend enough time with each other or do all the stuff we planned to do together", she said turning around to Itachi with sorrow on her face.

"I'm so sorry..."
"No no, it is okay, it is an old story... well...after he died I started blaming myself for not being able to do something about it, I passed through hard times accepting what happened... then, I decided to join the medical field, and my journey started ever from that time until now...I didn't have any children from him, so I decided to dedicate my life to save people and heal them with everything I've got, I didn't want what happened with me to repeat with someone else", she said with a gentle smile.
"I see...", Itachi muttered in a low voice.
"I spent years taking care of patients, and just minding my own business, until I met Yuki and Ryu Uchiha...", she contined as Itachi's eyes slightly widened at the mention of this.
"[name]'s parents..."
"Yes, later I took care of [name] after her parents died when she was three until now, since things in the leaf were getting a bit though and her parents wanted to raise her in a peaceful place...I was blessed to be chosen to take care of her and experience the feels to be a mother though I didn't have kids of my own, [name] gave me happiness, and I guess Tatsu did the same thing to her", she said smiling as she remembered how you filled her life with happiness and joy.
"I see m'lady...sorry to remind you of this..", Itachi said putting his cup down, with a sorry smile on his face.
"No it is okay...I want you to know that maybe if I were put in [name]'s situation and have the one I love back after totally losing hope for it, I might have acted the same way she did, but believe me son, she only does this because she loves you so much and she is afraid to lose you again", lady Noriko said with a reassuring smile as usual.
"I know my lady, I know, and I keep this in mind always...well, I guess I should be going now", he said with a smile, seeing that time passed quickly as they talked, and now he needs to leave.
"Sure son, take good care of yourself and don't worry about her and Tatsu", she said as she walked him to the door.
"I fully trust you m'lady, goodbye, I will see you soon", he said as he bowed his head to her then turned to leave, as she waved to him.
