Chapter 33

"We will leave once it's daylight", you said as the two of them were standing with you, seeing that smirk on Kisame's face while Itachi was looking away at the tree.
"Of course [name], I see you have already prepared everything", Kisame said noticing that you have packed everything up in your bag while you replied with a little nod, then turned around watching the tree as well.

The daylight had streamed in through the rounded opening in the ceiling, the flowers' petals started to fall down simultaneously making a beautiful view as resembling falling snowflakes. You giggled as you run close to l the edge of the lake tryig to catch petals randomly and enjoying the view as the sweet fragrance of the flowers intensified. Though it was a fascinating view that made you happy, you felt kinda sad that it's gonna be your first and last time seeing it ever.
They watched as well from a distance as you enjoyed those moments while petals fell on you, Itachi took some steps to get closer, as he smiled gently watching how happy you were.

The flow of water carried the fallen petals out of the lake, and the tree has turned back to its first state, just leaves and no glowing or flowers, yet it was still looking gorgeous, you would really like to get back here another time...
The three of you exited the place after picking up some fruits from the berries bushes there. 

You walked out of the tunnel leading outside the rounded giant hall, and went further in the forest then arrived at the rope bridge again. The wind was still blowing in the valley but it wasn't so strong, nevertheless, you have felt a bit scared to cross it over the other side.
"Do you want me to carry you?", Itachi suggested kindly, noticing the uneasy look on your face, while Kisame looked back at you two from his shoulder raising an eyebrow as he started to walk across the bridge.
"If you may...yes, please", you replied as he nodded and picked you up.
He looked down at you once more, seeing how tight you clutched on him, then he crossed the bridge after Kisame fast, putting you down once you reached the other side. 

You didn't feel scared this time, you had a total trust that he will get you to safety, the three of you then took a short break before entering the gloomy forest again.

"I don't think it will be as though as earlier", Kisame said while the three or you took some steps inside, noticing the water still flowing in the stream coming from the mysterious fountain as more light rays infiltrated the place through the thick branches of trees, the fog wasn't there as well as the monsters.
You were just about to take some more steps inside when you felt a hold on your hand, looking down at it, seeing that ring you knew it was Itachi. You looked up at him to see him looking at you with a serious look on his face, you nodded and looked ahead of you, slightly tightening your grip on his hand as you started walking again along with Kisame.

In the middle of the forest, you were just walking peacefully when you heard a strange sound coming from above, Itachi quickly pulled you aside with him while Kisame jumped away. Looking up, the three of you saw another giant black spider just minding its own business up there making a web to catch some preys.

The three of you resumed walking, hearing no weird voices such as the crying or mysterious chanting, you smiled as you noticed the end of the forest getting near.

Fresh air! You did it! You took a deep breath feeling the freshness of the air, as you exited the dangerous area.
"Well since we haven't encountered any problems on our way back, I guess we can make it to that village before nightfall",  Kisame said, you two nodded at him.
"We will be able to get some rest and food then we can continue tomorrow", you said, thinking about how nice it will be to get a hot shower and a comfortable bed to sleep on.
"We will be there in a few hours, but first we will take a break", Itachi said, he knew you can't keep walking all the time until then.

The three of you sat in a shaded place near the small stream there, eating some of the fruits you have brought with you while hearing the sound of water flowing close, as birds were singing.
"Um...excuse me, I will be back", you excused yourself getting up, Itachi nodded and remained silent as you then left.
"Where did she go?!", Kisame asked confused while Itachi told him that you need to 'fix your clothes'.
You walked back to them feeling refreshed after talking care of your business and drinking and splashing some cold water from the stream on your face, the three of you then resumed walking again.

It was evening as you arrived at the small village you visited the first time, Itachi decided that before you do anything else, you three need to book rooms in the only inn in the village.
"We are almost full, you know the annual festival will be held tomorrow and so, many people came to see it", the girl at the reception desk said to Itachi looking through her register and at the screen in front of her.
"So?", Itachi rised a brow, apparently not pleased with what he had just heard.
"There is one standard room with a single bed", she said looking more through her register. Itachi looked at your tired face, you need to have some good sleep tonight.
"Oh! There are these spouses who canceled their booking, a room with a double bed, you choose what you want", she said as she tried to hold her laughter from the look on your faces.

A room with a single bed and a room with double bed for two people, means: you alone and Kisame and Itachi sharing the doubled room, or Itachi alone and you and Kisame in the double bed room, and last Kisame alone and you and Itachi together...your string of thoughts has been soon interrupted by Itachi's voice.
"Fine, we will take the two rooms. Kisame here will have the individual room and I and the lady beside me will take the other one", Itachi told the receptionist as she nodded and started doing her work.
"You can't just decide!!!", you protested with a pout looking at Itachi, while he was busy finishing the registration.

"Do you have a better choice, [name]?", he asked, getting the keys and giving Kisame his key as the latter watched silently with a grin.

"Yes actually!! Why can't I have the individual room as the only girl here to have some privacy. You and Kisame can share the other one", you said, crossing your arms over your chest.

"I have to keep an eye on you [name], so you don't go 'wandering' around at night and put yourself in a danger as usual", he replied calmly, as the receptionist watched with a grin while chewing on her bubblegum.

"We know that's not the real reason, Itachi", Kisame muttered to himself with a smirk, getting himself death glares from both you and Itachi. The three of you then ended up heading upstairs to check your rooms, it was clear that Kisame was happy since he will have a calm night in his individual room.
