Chapter 19

The three of you arrived to a place surrounded by thick trees, as some sunlight managed to infiltrated the area through the large branches of the trees.
The two men stopped walking and so you did, they remained silent as they scanned the area around making sure no one is following them.
"It's safe, Kisame", Itachi said, and just as you looked at him now, you've seen it again! His eyes are red! Or as you know it know it now, he was using the Sharingan.

So you didn't just imagined it that day you've met him for the first time, you have confirmed that he actually has it back then when you have been at the leaf village, both from the stories you have heard about him and how strong he is, and from reading books and scrolls talking about the ninja skills and, those specific skills that only some people who belong to some bloodlines have, but seeing it again, this close, gave you a different feeling...

"Something's up?", you blinked as you heard his voice, noticing that you have been actually staring at him for quite a while again, at his eyes deepily. You quickly shook your head no as you backed away from him a bit while a small blush spread over your cheeks that you tried to hide with the straw hat you have been still wearing.
"It's just her first time seeing the Sharingan, Itachi", Kisame said in that same playful tone of his as he looked at the two of you.
"Kisame, open the door", Itachi said in a calm voice, ending the conversation about his Sharingan.

'A door? Where?!', you wondered, looking around you finding nothing that would look like a door, then you knew what he was talking about as Kisame, bent down to the ground and grabbed some sort of a metallic circular handle that had been hidden in the bushes, pulling it up easily due to his physical strenght, opening the door that Itachi had mentioned earlier, revealing a staircase leading to a basement underground.

"Come on", you have been surprised as Itachi grabbed your hand and walked toward the staircase. He didn't hold your hand before, you looked at his hand and noticed a special ring on his ring finger, and his nails that have been polished in purple.
"I will go first", he said, letting go of your hand and starting to climb down the staircase as it was getting darker with each step he takes, then he became out of sight just after a few stairs. You hesitated for a while to follow him, wondering where are they taking you, and why would they keep an injured person in such a place.

"Miss [name], I guess it's your turn now", Kisame said with a grin causing you to sign as you kept your guard on. You lifted up the hem of your kimono avoiding to trip over it and started walki downstairs slowly, coughing as you felt the humidity filling the air around. It was getting even darker with each step you take, you managed to spot some dim light at the far end of the tunnel-like staircase you have been walking down, you have been just about to take another step when your foot slipped!
"Ahhhhh!", you screamed losing your balance as you were about to fall down, but then and quickly you have been caught right in time.
"It's alright, I got you", Itachi said as he held you firmly, even though it was a total darkness, you could feel that his eyes were fixed on your face, again, you found yourself trying to stare at his face...

"Here I come! Hehe", this short moment has been interrupted by Kisame's voice as he started coming down the staircase after closing the door after him. 

"Be careful, some stairs are so slick", Itachi told you as he loosed his hold on you letting go of you after making sure you regained your balance, then the three of continued walking down the rest of the stairs.
