"I thought I lost you!", Itachi said with a frown, still hardly believing you're actually up, alive, as he gently held your face in his hands.
"We will be together always", you muttered smiling slightly, wincing in pain as you tried to shuffle a bit in your place, your injuries are still hurting despite you taking medicines, especially the one in your chest.
"Don't do that again! don't put yourself in danger for me or for anyone else", Itachi said more like an order as he helped you lay in a good position in bed.
"That was a world of a total chaos...we didn't want things to turn out that way, we couldn't expect it, but...now we are fine, everything is fine, and that what really matters", you said gently caressing his face as he let out a sigh of relief.

"Indeed...you keep saving me, from myself...[name]?", he said then called your name gently, yet a serious look on his face as you nodded for him to continue.
"I guess that phantom calling himself Itachi had told you a bunch of things about me, I don't know what did he say exactly, but I want you not to believe any of it, you know me better", Itachi said, as his eyes looked down at your neck seeing the mark the kunai left on it.
"Yes I know, I didn't believe him in the first place and that's why he tried to get rid of me, don't worry about it Itachi, I and Tatsu trust you, I know that when you looked into that scroll...it read your mind, and tried to use some things that happened in your past against me, adding more lies to them, trying to make me let go of you and believe that we are not meant to be together", you said with a little smile, gently squeezing his band that was holding yours as he nodded.

"Exactly my love, well I guess I should let the medics know you have woke up", he said with about to get up, you shook your head no and pulled him down beside you, "that's not very important, tell me Itachi, where is Sasuke and Tatsu?!", you asked with some worry in your voice, Itachi smiled at you as he gently stroked your head and said:"Sasuke was he one who brought you here, he left a while ago and he said he will be back, Tatsu is still sleeping, he got injured when you have been first attacked by that explosion, but he is getting better fast, I will bring him to you once he is up", he said as you sighed and nodded , "we wouldn't have made it without Sasuke, and Tatsu also has the effect of that elixir like us, I wouldn't survive without it...", you said, as you closed your eyes recalling that night you've gotten the medicine from the mysterious old tree's flowers.
"It does wonders, I am also recovering quickly myself", Itachi said, looking down at your lips, seeing them not as pale as they seemed to be earlier.
"You still look tired Itachi, you need to rest for a while", you said as he nodded, smiling as he watched you, feeling very happy to be given another chance to be together.

"[Name] sweetheart, once you get better, we will go back home as you wanted", Itachi said, intertwining your fingers together as you smiled brightly, but then another idea came to your mind.
"On our way there, maybe we should go pay that tree a visit...it's been a while, it will bring back so many memories", you said looking into his eyes, hoping he'd not get worried about that. Back when you went there the first time with him and Kisame, you have encountered several dangers and monsters on the way, you were still too naive and not trained, but things are different now, the monsters will not attack you again and even if they do, you're both strong ninjas.

"Yes, we will go wherever you want", he replied calmly putting a kiss on your forehead as you smiled, "all you have to do is get better", he whispered as you nodded and smiled when a the door has been opened and a nurse walked in, gasping in surprise as she found you already awake.

Itachi took the chance while the medics checked on you and changed your bandages to go check on Tatsu. You laid back in your bed enjoying the calm as the sunlight came in through the window, when Itachi walked in again with the little boy in his arms, you gasped once you saw his head and some part if his arm and leg wrapped in bandages.
"Mom!", he called as he tried to jump from Itachi's arms to you, his eyes full of tears as he saw you in the hospital bed wrapped in those bandages and those medical instruments beside you.

"Calm down,Tatsu", Itachi said in a serious voice, gently putting him beside you on the bed, as you hugged him close to you, while Itachi helped you hold him in a way he doesn't touch any of your wounds or make you feel more pain.
"I'm fine, don't worry sweetheart, now tell me, how do you feel?", you asked Tatsu as you held him close, wiping his tears away with your thumb as he wrapped his small arms around your neck, refusing to answer and just hugging you while Itachi watched you two silently with a smile, you gently caressed Tatsu's head calming him down.

"Mom?! where did you go?! Who hurt you?!", Tatsu asked you after a while as he finally seemed to calm down a bit, you smiled and kissed him and looked into his dark eyes, you can see pure worry and fear of losing you in them, of course...ever since his birth, Tatsu has never been away from you, and he never saw you getting hurt that much, the time you just had a spare 7with Itachi in front of him, it resulted in awakening his Sharingan.
"Someone tried to take me away and hurt me, but dad and uncle Sasuke didn't let him, and now we are safe", you said patting his head as he nodded and just stared at you, now he understands more the need to be strong to protect those dear and close to him, like how his dad told him...
"I want to become strong to protect you too!", he said with determination on his face as you giggled and nodded, looking at Itachi who was just smiled slightly watching you.
A while later, the door has been knocked as then both Sasuke and Kakashi walked in to see you, after a little talk they both left so you can have some rest.

At night, Tatsu has been back to his room sleeping deeply after taking his medicines and making sure you're fine, while Itachi stayed with you as you requested. He laid beside you on the bed facing you and watching you as you slept feeling safe close to him, he gently stroked your hair as you breathed calmly while holding one of his hands in yours, he kissed you then he kissed your forehead, wishing you a good night then closed his eyes having some rest as well.
