Chapter 21

You started cleaning his wounds carefully with much care and gentleness, noticing that he wasn't even feeling pain while you did so since he was unconscious. You suddenly gasped, noticing the weird mouths on his palms, you felt a shiver run down your spine, you've already heard that in the ninja world these things aren't rare but seeing something like this in front of you, felt creepy.
You closed your eyes and focused as your hands started to glow green. You gently placed them on his stomach's injury healing it from the inside then after a while you moved your hands to his arm then to his leg, as well as the rest of his injuries doing the same thing to them.
You took a break wiping some droplets of sweat off of your forehead, at least you managed to heal his tissues and organs, but still, there was a lot of work to do.

Itachi was standing at the door of your house waiting, after knocking a few times on it, which has been opened a short time later.
Lady Noriko's eyes widened as she saw him, a feeling of worry sneaking into her heart seeing this man standing in front of her, is he here for [name]? Did you leave suddenly earlier because of him?!

"Hello m'lady, [name] sent this to you...", he wasted no time handing her the paper you gave him, which she took quickly from him and read it. So it was really as she had expected, is she fine?
Reading the letter she understood everything quickly, it's about that patient she talked about when she came earlier and took her things and left in a hurry saying she'll go cure him, but what does Itachi have to do with it? After all what she have learnt about him in the leaf why would she go with him? Did he force her to heal this other patient? Maybe...but [name] said also in her letter that she is totally okay and she will be back as soon as her patient is okay, for now...the lady should wait for [name] to get back and explain what happened.
"Wait a moment, I will be right back", she said, taking the paper with her and disappearing inside the house coming back after a while with a bag.
"Everything she asked for is here", she said, handing the bag over to him as he thanked her and left quickly before she could even ask him something else, are you really okay [name]?

"Where is Itachi?! We can't waste another minute!", you muttered noticing the guy's breathing getting more and more difficult despite everything you did, that must be the effect of the poison.
You looked quickly in the direction of the door as you heard footsteps nearing it, and just as you expected, it was Itachi.
"Thanks!", you quickly took the bag from him as you hurried back to your unconscious patient, getting the things out of the bag quickly.
You grabbed an empty syringe and filled it up with a pure liquid that was in a small bottle then injected the guy with it. It wasn't long after that when he started to cough as some green liquid started to come out ot his mouth.

"It worked!", you muttered with a smile, taking a clean cloth and wiping the liquid out everytime he cough. A few time later, his breathing started to become easier slowly, then after some more time, he started breathing normally again.
You quickly resumed your work taking a special thin needle with a thread and started to sew his wounds with much care and skill. Finishing the sewing process, your hands then started glowing green again as you placed them on the injuries sites one by one finishing the healing process, and in a last step, you took new bandages and placed them all over the healed places.

"Is it over?", you turned quickly to the source of the sound, seeing the blue haired woman standing there as she entered the room again without you noticing her.
"He is out of danger now, he will take some time before waking up, but...", you trailed off looking at his still unconscious body.
"I'm listening", she said calmly, nodding for you to continue.
"It's pretty difficult to restore a part of his arm...it's already dead, most of it", you said with some sadness in your tone.
"He is not going to accept this", she muttered looking at him seeing that part if his arm had became black and dry.

"But...there is one last hope, yet I'm not so sure about it. I never actually tried it before, just read and leant about it from some very old books, it is more like a legend I'm not even sure it does exists really...", you said after some hesitation.
"We will take the risk, what should we do?!", she asked you looking at you again. At that time, you weren't sure you could do this...but if you're gonna be protected and accompanied through the wwhole path by strong ninjas...such as Itachi...you might have a great gain form this adventure...

"They say, there is an elixir, that can be extracted from a certain tree, it can revive his arm", you said, looking back at the still unconscious blond.
"So what's the obstacle in getting it?"
"As I told you, all I know about this is just theories, just informations from old books. They say the last remaining tree of that spice is located in a very dangerous place that can't be found so easily, even the path to it is also full of deadly traps and dangers...", you said as she remained silent thinking of what you've said before she spoke again:"if that's the last hope, then we will have to take this option. I hope you know the probable location of the tree, Itachi and Kisame will take you there, you will be able to get there safely with them", you nodded looking at the unconscious man laying on his bed, it is so risky, but you can't let him die.
