“Big What?” Eaze asks Jaze when he doesn’t get what Jaze is talking about.
Nasa bahay kami ngayon.
May mahalaga daw na sasabihin si ate Jaze.
That’s why she’s here.
“BCE: Big Couples Entertainment. You two need to know each other well, so I decided to let you in.”
“For what? That’s a waste of time.”
“Hear me first, Mr. Hun! Shut your mouth,” Ate Jaze said while giving him her warning sight. And me? Nakikinig lang ako sa kanilang dalawa.
Wala rin kasi akong alam doon sa mga pinag-uusapan nila, kaya nanatili na lang akong pipi dito sa isang tabi.
“10 Seconds.”
“The BCE is one of the biggest company shows. You two need to know each other well, and same thing sa fans nyo.”

“There will be activities and some sources of how well you know each other. While you are doing your things and acting, they will keep an eye on both of you to know if you’re a real couple.”

“It is a great opportunity for the both of you, dahil matutulungan kayo ng show na ito para makuha ang loob ng mga fans nyo. And at the same time, makakatulong din ito sa pagpapanggap nyo. They’ll believe that you two are not just pretending but a real couple.”
“I won’t agree,” Eaze said as he suddenly stopped counting, then stood up and stared at Ate Jaze for a while before he walked away and left us behind.
Tinatawag pa siya ni Ate Jaze, pero hindi niya ito pinansin.
Napahilot ng sentido si ate Jaze bago bumaling sa akin ng tingin. Napaiwas tuloy ako ng tingin sa hiya.
“Aya?”
“Po?!” I immediately responded when she called my name. Then bumaling na din ako ng tingin sa kanya. Lumapit siya sa akin, bago pumwesto sa tabi ko, sabay hawak sa kamay ko.
“I know your situation. You want this job badly because of her, right?” she asks. Wonders portrayed in my face out of curiosity about what she said.
As far as I remember, hindi ko naman sinabi sa kanila yung about kay Maya, diba?
“Pano mo nalaman?”
“Before we made a deal, I already checked and had eyes on you. Eaze doesn’t know about it. We just needed your help badly, and same as you. Just please, help me to persuade Eaze about it.”
“Pero—” I didn’t even continue what I was trying to say when Ate Jaze squeezed my hand and spoke already.
“Listen, Aya. It’s a great opportunity for both of us. Matutulungan mo si Eaze, at matutulungan ka din namin at the same time. If ever Eaze agrees about it, that will help you a lot. Why? It’s simple. You’ll get double pay— one from our company and one from the BCE. If you’re lucky and win that entertainment show, you’ll get millions.”
Halos malaglag ang tainga ko ng dahil sa narinig ko.
Hindi ko alam kung para saan ba ’tong kontrata nila about relationships— anong dahilan at ako ang pinili nila.
Pero isa lang ang alam ko. No matter what the reason is, ang mahalaga ay mapagamot ko na si Maya.
“Now, let me ask you. Are you with me?” Ate Jaze asked me once again while staring at me.
