Chapter 5

Ben soon arrives at the door of Joe's hotel room. He wants to knock on the door, but suddenly starts doubting everything. Is it a good idea to spend all night with his crush in one room? That is, if Joe is really his crush. He still hasn't quite figured it out.
Maybe he should ask Rami or Gwil for advice tomorrow.
He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door.
Soon the door opens, and Joe is standing in the doorway with a blanket around him. 'You cried. Are you okay?' Is the first thing he says when he sees Ben.
'Oh that's nothing.' Ben says, trying to sound convincing. When he sees that Joe is still looking worried, he says: 'I just struck my toe and tears came to my eyes.'
It remains quiet for a moment.
'So, how about a movie night?' Joe smiles at Ben.
The latter nods with a smile. 'Sounds good, but let me know when you get tired okay? It has been a busy day for you.'
Joe nods and lets Ben in.

Gwil is on his way to the mailboxes at the check-in desk. He just got a message from the director, saying that the improved scrips are in the mailbox. He's just about to get in the elevator when he hears someone yelling.
It's Rami. 'Hold the elevator!'
Gwil laughs and waits for his friend. 'Where are you going?' Gwil says, laughing even harder when he sees what Rami looks like. His hair is messy, he is wearing two different socks and two different shoes.
'Lucy and I were going to facetime, but the wifi in my room was not working. So I had to ... well I had to get dressed.' Rami looks embarrassed at Gwil, who can't stop laughing.
'And you?' The black-haired boy says, trying to chance the subject.
'I was just on my way to get our new scripts.' Gwil explains.
The elevator opens and Rami rushes to the lobby. 'Sounds boring, I'll talk to you later. Bye!'

Once Gwil has picked up the mail, he returns to his room. He sees Rami walking in front of him in the hall to the elevator.
The tall boy runs over to him and slaps his friend firmly on the shoulders.
'For the love of God Gwil, don't scare me like that!' Rami says indignantly.
Gwil raises his hands apologetically and laughs. 'Have you already finished calling Lucy?'
Rami frowns. 'Her audition was brought forward.' He says with a sigh. 'But shall we get to Ben and Joe in a minute? Then maybe we can watch a movie or something.'
The elevator is there and they get in.
'Maybe we should leave those two alone for this evening.' Gwil says as he pushes the button to their floor.
Rami looks at him questioningly.
'Ben is staying with Joe tonight. And you haven't heard this from me, but I think Ben likes Joe.'
Rami's eyes widen. 'Oh my god. No way!' He exclaims excitedly.
Gwil looks at him in surprise.
'What? Can't I just be happy for my two best friends?' Rami says with a smirk.
'Calm down, we don't know yet if Joe likes Ben too, remember. So here's the plan: You're going to talk to Joe in the morning to see how the night went. I'm going to talk to Ben to ask about his feelings for Joe.'
Rami nods in agreement. 'Sounds like a good plan.'
'Well, good night then.' Gwil says with a big smile.
'See you tomorrow Gwil.'
'Good night Rami.'
And both close the door of their room.

Ben flops down on the couch next to Joe with a big smile on his face. 'I brought some chrisps, if you feel like it.'
Joe looks up sleepily and smiles. 'Those are my favorite.'
Ben laughs when he sees the eager look in the ginger's eyes. 'I know, that's why I brought them. But are you sure you don't prefer to go to bed? You've been sick all day, don't forget that.'
Joe shakes his head, and starts to cough.
With a worried look, Ben gently rubs his hand over the boy's back. 'Joe, the fever may be gone, but that doesn't mean you aren't sick anymore.'
After Joe regained his breath, he puts his head on Ben's shoulder. He briefly closes his eyes. It all feels so good. 'I know, but I just don't want you to think I'm boring.'
Ben runs his fingers through Joe's messy hair. 'I'm here for you. Not to watch some movie.' He says softly. He smiles when Joe yawns. 'Let's go to bed, we'll watch that movie tomorrow. I promise.'
Joe sits up and nods. He slowly gets up, and walks towards his bed.
Ben follows him, and grabs a shirt to wear through the night. 'Don't you wanna change?' He asks Joe.
The latter shakes his head slowly. 'Nah.' He mumbles as he sprawls out over the bed.
Ben giggles and lies down next to the boy.
They turn off the lights, and it stays quiet for a while.
Joe can hear Ben turning his head. The ginger turns his head too, hoping to see Ben's face in the dark.
'Thanks for taking such good care of me today.' Joe whispers, breaking the silence.
Ben smiles sleepily. 'Of course. Always.'
Joe smiles widely, feeling his heart racing.
'Good night Joey.'
'Sleep well Benny.'
