Chapter 32

When Joe walks out of the kitchen of Ben's hotel room with a bag of crisps for the movie, he sees that Ben is already settled on the couch. He puts the crisps down on the table and sits down next to the boy. 'Are you okay? You're shaking all over.' The ginger asks when he can feel Ben tremble.
Ben nods and gives Joe a reassuring smile. I'm just a bit cold, that's all.' He says.
Joe sits a little closer to Ben, and puts his head on Ben's chest. 'Shall I get you a blanket?' He asks softly.
Ben gives him a bit of a mischievous look, and shakes his head. 'If you just keep laying this close to me, I'll quickly warm up.' He whispers.
Joe grins and nods. 'I will take my job as a blanket seriously.' He says with a giggle. 
Ben chuckles at that. He wants to grab the remote to play the movie, but before he can hit the play button, Joe stops him.
'Hey, uhm about this afternoon.... about what I wanted to tell you?' Joe says hesitantly as he puts his head back on Ben's chest.
'Yes, tell me?' Ben's says, his voice sounding as calm as possible.
But despite that, Joe can feel his heart racing. 'I- I um. Well, what I wanted to say is... uhm-' Joe stammers, trying to find the right words.
'I love you too.' Ben says before Joe can finish his sentence.
Joe looks at him with wide eyes and his jaw dropped. 'You-you do?' He asks in disbelieve.
Ben nods shyly, a blush spreading across his cheeks.
'You're sure you're not kidding?' Joe asks, still not believing it.
Ben can't help but smile at the face the boy makes. 'Do you want me to prove I'm being sincere? That I ain't kidding?'
Joe looks at Ben with a small grin. 'And how do you think you're going to do that?'
Ben smiles and moves closer to Joe. 'I've got some ideas.' He whispers. He pulls Joe's head towards his with his finger, staring at the boy's lips.
'I already love this idea.' Joe whispers softly, enjoying the feeling of Ben's soft hand cupping his cheek.
'This is just the beginning Joey.' Ben whispers with a big smile.
Joe swallows at that, feeling his breath hitching in his throat. 'I can't wait for the rest.' He mumbles, biting his lip at the sight of Ben's pink lips so close to his.
That's when Ben closes his eyes and unites his lips with Joe's.
The ginger hesitates for a moment, but then goes along with the fiery kiss. He lets his hand trail down, letting it rest on Ben's hip. 
Ben lets his tongue run over Joe's bottom lip, waiting for access to the boy's mouth.
Joe smirks into the kiss before parting his lips just enough for Ben to slip his tongue through. Then their tongues meet and start dancing.
Ben let's out a pleased noise, deepening the kiss by running his fingers through the small hairs on the back of Joe's head.
Also Joe enjoys the long-lasting kiss, not wanting the moment to end.

When they let go of each other to breathe, they look at each other with a big smile.
'Is that enough proof for you, Blanket?' Ben asks, is heart beating twice as fast as normal. He feels like he's floating right now.
'Mwah, I just hope I don't forget. Otherwise you'll have to show me again.' Joe says with a big grin and a flush on his cheeks.
'Oh that would be a real disaster.' Ben says before he snuggles up against Joe's chest.
'And how did I accomplish my task as a blanket?' Joe asks, running his fingers over the boy's back.
'Amazing. I've never felt so warm inside before.' Ben says softly. He smiles sleepily when he can feel Joe's heart thudding in his chest. With a yawn, he snuggles even closer to Joe.
'Maybe we should watch that movie some other time?' Joe asks when he can see how tired Ben is.
Ben looks up. 'Why?' He mumbles, his eyes barely open anymore.
Joe grins. 'Well, you've kind of exhausted me.' He says.
Ben giggles softly when he sees the smirk on Joe's face. 'Oh is that so? Well then I'll slow down next time.' He says.
Joe shakes his head. 'Please don't. I've never had such a fun movie night in my life. And we didn't even watch a movie.' He says with a big smile.
Ben blushes at that. 'Joe? C-can you maybe, uhm, stay here with me? I just really don't wanna be alone right now.' He asks shyly.
Joe's heart skips a beat when he hears this question. 'As in, a sleepover?' He asks.
Ben shrugs. 'I guess so.' He says with the cutest smile Joe has ever seen.
The ginger nods happily. 'I'd like a sleepover.' He says with a smile.
Ben breathes a sigh of relief. 'Thank you.' He says softly.
Joe takes his hand. 'I'll always be there when you need me.'
Ben smiles. 'Always?'
Joe nods. 'Always.'

Not much later, the two are lying next to each other in Ben's bed. They look each other in the eye without saying anything. A smile slowly appears on both their faces.
'Ben?' Joe breaks the silence. 'Would you like me to go with you to the police station tomorrow?'
Ben turns around, now facing the ceiling. He shrugs. 'I can manage alone.' He says softly.
'I know, but you don't have to.'  Joe says as he takes his hand.
Ben looks at him and smiles. 'Thank you. I'd like you to come with me, actually. I think I'm gonna need my blanket.'
Joe giggles softly. He pulls the blanket up to his chin and moves a little closer to Ben.
'Joey? Can I take you out this Saturday?' Ben asks softly.
Joe feels himself blushing and hopes Ben doesn't notice. 'Sounds lovely. I can't wait.' He says. 
Ben smiles and yawns.
'Let's go to sleep, it's a busy day tomorrow.' Joe says as he brushes some small hairs from Ben's face.
The blond boy nods. 'Good idea. I am really curious about Gwil's girlfriend.' He says with a sleepy chuckle.
Joe nods in agreement. 'And I am curious what news they want to tell us.' The boy mumbles before yawning too.
Ben crawls a little closer to the boy next to him, hoping Joe won't notice.
'Good night Benny.' Joe whispers.
'Good night blanket.' He gets back as reply. Causing him to giggle softly.

Well, on a scale of 1 to 10, how happy are you with this chapter? I know that I am very happy with it anyway :)

It is here now 11.12 pm, and because of my medications I am just a crying piece of shit🙃 And I can't sleep so I decided to upload once again today
