Chapter 58

A month and a half later, Ben is almost allowed to go home. Just three more days, and then he can leave the hospital. His broken arm is almost completely healed, just like his ankle. Although he will have another two weeks of rehabilitation, he is happy that everything can finally get back to normal a bit.
When Joe has left to the hotel for some clothes, Ben takes out his laptop. He's been busy with something for a few days. A surprise for Joe. And today he's going to show it to Joe. 
Quite startled, Ben closes his laptop when the door to the room opens. 
'Oh sorry, I should have knocked.'
Ben breathes a sigh of relief when he sees the nurse enter. 'It's okay.' He says with a smile. 'I thought you were my boyfriend, that's why I jumped. I'm planning a surprise for him.' He explains. 
The nurse smiles. 'Well, I hope you have time to do some new exercises in between all the planning?'
Ben nods with a smile. 'I think I can make time for that.' He chuckles. He slowly gets up from bed and walks towards the nurse step by step.
She smiles as Ben walks around the room. 'You walk faster and faster.' She says.
Ben giggles. 'Yeah be careful, I'm going to run away. You better stop me.' He sticks out his tongue.
The nurse laughs. 'Try to practice walking as much as possible. The faster you can get back to your normal life.'
Ben nods.
At that moment there is a knock on the door.
'Hey honey, I'm back.'
Ben turns with a big smile as soon as he hears Joe's voice. 'Hey Blanket. Gimme a kiss.' He says with a small grin. Step by step he walks towards Joe.
When Ben is close enough, Joe takes a step back. With a small grin he looks at Ben's surprised face.
'What are you doing?' Ben asks confused. He takes a step forward, and Joe takes a step back again.
Joe shrugs with a smirk. 'You will have to work for that kiss.' 
The nurse giggles softly. 'Well Ben, with a boyfriend like that you can run the marathon within a week again. I'll leave you two alone now.'
Ben nods and smiles at her. 'Thank you.'

When the door closes and just the two of them are left, Joe walks over to Ben. 'Okay fair is fair, you deserve that kiss.' He smiles widely at Ben, and brushes some hair from his face. 
Ben cups Joe's face with his hand, and slowly presses his lips against Joe's. 
The ginger lets his tongue run over Ben's bottom lip, waiting for access to his mouth. 
Ben opens his mouth slightly, smirking into the kiss when their tongues meet.
After a while of their tongues fighting for dominance, they pause to breath. 
They lean their foreheads against each other and look each other in the eye with a big smile.
'I love you.' Ben whispers softly.
Joe smiles and whispers back a "I love you more". 
Ben smiles and slowly walks back to his bed. He pats next to him, as a way to tell Joe to sit down.
Joe smiles and sits down next to him.
'I actually wanted to talk to you about something.' Ben says with a small smile.
Joe gives him a look ful of curiosity.
Ben takes a deep breath. 'I've found a small apartment in New York, and I actually love it. So I think I'm going to bid on it.'
Joe tries to keep smiling, but despite that Ben can see the slight disappointment in his eyes.
'Wow, that's really great baby. I'm glad you found your own place.' The ginger says.
Ben takes Joe's hand. 'What wrong honey?'
Joe shrugs. 'I'm gonna miss you. We will be less able to be together.' He says softly.
Ben smiles nervously. 'Right. That's why I was thinking, do you want to move in with me? The apartment is big enough for both of us. And I know it's pretty fast, but you are the love of my life. But if you want to wait, I understand. It is just that I don't dare to stay in London anymore since Corey can order anyone to hurt me. And I-.'
Ben rattling is interrupted by Joe locking their lips together. 'Sorry, I didn't know how else I could make you shut up.' The ginger says with flushed cheeks. 'Angel, I would love to move in with you.' He says with a smile.
'Really?' Ben asks, the disbelieve hearable in his voice.
Joe nods. 'Yes, I love you Benny. You are the love of my life.' He smiles, and locks their lips again.

At that moment the door of the room opens.
'Oh well, I think we're coming at the wrong time.' Lina's voice fills the room.
Ben and Joe pull away. 
In front of them are Gwil, Lina, Rami and Lucy.
Ben feels his cheeks flush when they look at the two with a grin.
Joe giggles softly.
'Well someone is uncomfortable.' Gwil says with a laugh when he sees Ben's tomato head.
'Were you up to something special guys?' Rami asks with a grin.
Joe shrugs and kisses Ben on the cheek. 'Let them talk honey. They can know that I love you. That's not a secret.' He says with a grin. Then he looks at Lina and chuckles. 'You look good Lina. Is that Gwil's sweater?'
Lina giggles and nods. 'Yeah, I didn't feel like wearing maternity clothes today.' She places her hands on her stomach, exposing her baby bump.
Gwil puts his hands over hers and kisses her cheek. 'You look great sweetie.' He says to her.
'How far are you now?' Lucy asks curiously.
'Twenty-two weeks. And the girls are doing great.' Lina says with a smile.
The others' eyes widen.
'Oh my god, you're having two girls?' Joe asks.
Gwil and Lina both nod with huge smiles. 'Yep. I'll be living with three girls in a few months.' Gwil says with a soft chuckle.
Lucy lets out a soft squeal. 'Guys I'm so happy for you!' She exclaims before hugging the two.
Rami gets up, following his girlfriend's actions and hugging Lina. Then it's Gwil's turn. 'Have you received the results yet?' He whispers during the hug, so that the others won't be able to hear it.
When they let go, Gwil gives a short nod. 'Yes I have.' He says softly.
