Chapter 26

Ben puts down his knife and fork, looking at the ginger in front of him with a huge smile. 'Wow Joe, I didn't know you're such a good chef. This is really great.'
He sees in the light of the candles that starts Joe blushing. 'Thank you.' The boy whispers modestly. 'It's a recipe from my grandmother. She told me only to cook it on very special moments. And well, I think today is very special.' Joe says.
Ben is totally speechless. 'That- that's so sweet.' He doesn't know how to express his feelings to Joe. He feels so happy, and most of all, grateful. Grateful that Joe is well and healthy again. Grateful to be sitting here with Joe, despite the Allen story.
'What are you thinking about?' Joe asks Ben with a smile.
'Just about how honored I feel that you made this dish for me.' Ben looks shyly at his plate.
'I told you you're a special person.' Joe says with a small grin.
It stays quiet for a moment.
'Do you miss her a lot?' Ben looks up to Joe. He knows that his grandmother passed away a few years ago.
Joe nods. 'I do. I was very close to her. She was the only one who understood how I felt when I had an anxiety attack, for example. She really got me through it.' Joe's happy look turns into a slightly sad look.
Suddenly, something comes to Ben's mind. 'When I had an anxiety attack because of my claustrophobia, you helped me through it. That inalare, espirare.....-'
'She taught me that.' Joe adds. 'It's Italian for breath in, breathe out. Talking helps you to get your breathing under control.'
Ben puts his hand on Joe's. 'I never really thanked you for that, did I?' He asks softly.
Joe smiles. 'Being here with me now is the biggest thanks you can give me.' 
The two look each other in the eye.
Both boys can feel their hearts racing like crazy.

'C-can I tell you a secret?' Joe asks, breaking the silence.
Ben nods. 'Sure, always. You know that.' 
Joe shyly plays around with his fork. 'I uhm- I think I like someone. And it really is a very special person. What should I do? What's the next step?' The ginger looks at Ben from under his eyelashes. Would he get the hint?
Ben looks at him in surprise. 'Oh uhm, let me think.' He pretends to think deeply, but deep down he feels really excited. Joe wants to take a next step. 'Well, maybe that special person can take you on the next date?' The blond blushes and looks the other way.
Joe looks at him with a big smile. 'Really?' Joe whispers.
Ben nods with a even bigger smile. 'Can I tell you a secret too?'
Joe nods.
'So I was kidnapped this evening. And my kidnapper looked very handsome. Is it weird to ask your kidnapper on a date?' The blond asks with a smile.
Joe giggles softly, and shakes his head. 'I don't think it is.' He says softly.

Then Joe suddenly gets up. He reaches out his hand for Ben to take. 'This kidnapper wants to show you something.' He says with a smile.
Ben smiles at Joe and takes his hand.
Joe pulls the boy along with him.
A little further up the hill is a picnic blanket with lots of pillows on it.
'I hope you like stargazing?' Joe says softly.
'I do.' Ben says nodding.
Joe smiles at him with relief and lies down on the picnic blanket.
Ben lies down next to him and gently rests his head on Joe's shoulders. He looks at the beautiful starry sky.
They lie next to each other for a few minutes without saying anything. Joe slowly puts his arm around Ben's body, hoping it's an okay move to make. He smiles reassured when he feels Ben smile.
'Hey kidnapper?' Ben says after a while.
'Yes hostage?' Joe says.
'May I say that I have never experienced such a nice kidnapping.' Ben says with a soft giggle.
Joe can't help but laugh. 'I'm glad to hear that.' He whispers.

The rest of the night the two spent on that blanket, watching the stars.

The next morning the alarm clocks of the four friends go off early.
Today is one of the last days that they are filming scenes for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie before they have two weeks off.
Rami is the first to wake up. He checks his phone and groans dramatically when he sees the time. He looks next to him, and is quite disappointed when he sees that the bed is empty.
He forgot that Lucy only has to film on the few last days anymore. She left yesterday and is now at home with her family.
Rami takes his phone and sends her a message.

(06:15 Am) Rami: Hey baby, did you have a nice flight? It's so boring without you here. I think I'm the only one awake yet. I'm so curious how the date of Ben and Joe went. I'll let you know ;) I love you x

He puts his phone away and gets ready to take a shower.
After taking a shower he gets dressed and walks to Gwil's hotel room. Gwil promised to help him rehearse the script.
He knocks on the door, hoping Gwil is already awake.
'The door is open, come in.' Gwil calls from his room.
Rami enters the room and sees Gwil sitting on his bed with his laptop on his lap. 'Rami, may I introduce you to Lina? My beautiful girlfriend.' The tall boy says proudly.
Rami nods enthusiastically and sits down next to Gwil.
'Love, this is Rami. One of my best friends and co-actor in the borhap movie.' Gwil says, while turning the screen a bit.
Rami looks at the screen and sees the girl wave shyly. 'Nice to meet you Rami, Gwil has told about you a lot.' She says with a smile.
'Oh god, only the good things, I hope?' Rami says laughing. He looks at Gwil, who immediately nods yes.
'It is a pleasure to meet you Lina. Looks like you make Gwil very happy.' Rami says with an oblique look at Gwil. The latter stares dreamily at the screen.  'I'll leave you two alone so you can catch up. I'll see you at breakfast Gwil.' Rami gets up and checks his watch.
Gwil nods.

Rami walks towards the lift, while checking his phone to see if he has any messages from Lucy, Ben or Joe.
Nothing.
He presses the button and gets into the lift.
'Hold the elevator!' He suddenly hears behind him.
