Chapter 92

Three days later, Ben has to leave for the X-Men movie. He has already packed his suitcase, and is now waiting for his taxi to drive him to the airport.
'I'm gonna miss you baby.' The blond boy says before he presses his lips against Joe's.
The ginger puts on a smile, and sighs. 'I'm gonna miss you too Benny. So much.' He gives Ben a hug and closes his eyes. 
Ben puts his arms around the boy, and just holds him close. He has to make a real effort not to shed a tear. It's hard to know that he can't cuddle or hold Joe for two weeks long.
Joe smiles a little against Ben's chest, enjoying the hug.
'So uhm, I'm leaving today on Sunday, and I'll be back on Monday over two weeks.' Ben says to clarify things.
Joe frowns. 'They're so weird. Don't you have all Sundays off as a standard? Then why can't they let you just come home on Sunday instead of Monday.' He says sadly.
Ben gently caresses Joe's cheek with his thumb as he puts on a small smile. 'I know it's hard my love. But we'll call every day, okay?' He says softly before giving Joe a kiss.
Joe nods. 'Okay.' He mumbles. What he doesn't know is that he is actually right. Ben will be back on Sunday already. But the blond doesn't want Joe to mess up his schedule for his film so he can pick Ben up from the airport. So Ben decided to just surprise Joe by coming home a day earlier.
Then Ben gets a message. 'My taxi is here.' He says with a sigh. 'I love you Blanket.' For the last time he gives Joe a kiss on the lips. A very passionate kiss, knowing he won't get to feel Joe's soft lips for two whole weeks.
'I love you too Benny. Let me know when you're landed, okay?' Joe says when they break apart.
Ben smiles and nods. 'I will. I'm afraid I really have to go now.'
Joe sighs. 'I know.' He mumbles. 'I love you.'  

After Ben left with the taxi, Joe plops down on the couch. A tear finds his way down on his cheek. He has never been away from Ben for this long before. He knows that he planned to work a bit on his movie today, but he just doesn't feel like it. And so he decides to stay seated on the couch, and to make himself comfy.
The rest of the day Joe spends on the couch under a blanket, just watching some tv. He almost falls asleep, but when he hears a message coming in, he is wide awake again. His lips curl into a smile when he sees that Ben is the one that has messaged him. Joe feels his heart getting warm inside. 

(17:21 Pm) Ben: Hey Blanket ♥
Well, I've landed safely, luckily. In fact, I'm already at my hotel. I met the cast, and made some friends. There is this really nice girl in the cast, her room is next to mine. I gave her your number, and she is gonna check my arms. Unfortunately the service is pretty spotty here, but I'll try to call you asap. How are things at home?

(17:21 Pm) Joe: Good to hear you made a friend sweetie. And I told you I trust you. You don't have to get yourself checked because of me. You know that right?
Anyways, things are okay here, I guess. Just missing you already :(

(17:22 Pm) Ben: I know honey, and it's good to know you trust me after what happened. But I just think I don't trust myself enough yet.
I miss you too :(
I love you

The first few days Ben was away, Joe nearly cried himself to sleep every night. He and Ben tried to call every evening, but because of the time difference it's been quite hard.
Joe is mainly spending the days with working. He decided to go by his parents a few times for distraction, and he and his brother went to a nightclub once. But the moments he is alone at home, are still hard.
Although every time Ben calls him, Joe just puts on a smile and acts as normal as possible.
Today was one of the days Joe knows it will be a tough one, even though the day has just started.
After he woke up, the ginger grabs his phone to see what time it is. He groans when his phone indicates that it's only half past five in the morning.
He hasn't even slept 8 hours straight since Ben left. But despite this exhausted feeling, he can't manage to fall asleep.
