Chapter 7

At the hospital, the boys are taken to a waiting room by a nurse, where they have to wait for the examinations to be completed.
Gwil and Rami have both sat down, staring straight ahead, hoping some good news will come in soon.
Ben on the other hand, is nervously walking back and forth the waiting room. He'a chewing the inside of his cheek so hard, that he tastes blood after a while.
After five minutes of pacing around, the blond stops. 'I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back guys.'
And before Gwil or Rami can say anything, he's already at the end of the hall, soon disappearing around the corner.
'I'm worried about him.' Gwil looks after the blonde worriedly.
Rami nods. 'Yeah me too.'
Gwil frowns. Should he tell Rami what really happened last afternoon? That Ben didn't go to that bridge at all for some fresh air? That something from Ben's past is bothering him right now? But he promised Ben not to say anything.
Before Gwil can make a decision, he sees Brian enter.
'Hey boys.' The guitarist gives both Rami and Gwil a hug. 'Is there anything known about Joe's situation yet?'
Rami and Gwil shake their heads.
Then Brian looks around, quite confused. 'Where's Ben? With Joe?'
The two actors shake their heads again.
'No. He went to the bathroom. We are quite concerned about him.' Rami says.
Gwil nods in agreement. 'In the hotel he had a panic attack. Since then he has only been nervous.' He adds.
Brian looks pityingly. 'That poor boy.' The older man sits down next to Rami and Gwil in one of the chairs the waiting room provides.

After 5 minutes Ben is still not back from the toilet. Then Gwil's phone makes noise.
He has a text from Ben.

(03.04 Am) Ben: Gwil, can you please come to the restrooms? And don't tell Rami where you going?

(03.04 Am) Gwil: Of course, I'm on my way!

Gwil puts his phone away after sending the message. 'I need to call someone, I'll be right back.' He says to Rami and Brian. He doesn't wait for their response and walks towards the toilets.
Once there, he knocks on the door. 'Ben?' He listens if he can hear his friend, but it stays silent. After knocking again, he finally gets a response.
'Gwil, is that you?' Ben's voice says softly.
Gwil can hear the relief in his voice. 'Yes it is me, can I come in?'
It is quiet for a moment. 'Uhm yes, but don't be too alarmed'.
Gwil pushes open the door to the toilets and sees Ben slightly bent above one of the sinks. Gwil's eyes widen as soon as he looks at the sink. He doesn't know what to say. The entire sink is full of blood.
Ben is giving pressure on his hand with his other hand, causing both his hands to be covered in blood right now.
'Jesus Ben.....' Is the only thing Gwil managed to say. Then Ben's phone lying on the washtable catches his eye. The whole screen is covered in blood. 'You messaged me with a bleeding hand? Jesus Ben how did this happen?'
Ben looks away, not wanting to answer this question.
'Ben?! How did this happen?' While Gwil tries to find out how this happened, he tries to stop the wound from bleeding.
'Relax, I just bumped my hand against something sharp, that's all.' The blond says. His face fades with pain as Gwil tries to get a closer look at the wound.
'Stay here, I'll get one of the nurses. They can bandage it.' The tall boy says, still looking at the wound worriedly.
Ben nods, and tries to get a cloth to wipe away some of the blood. When he reaches out completely, something falls out of his pocket.
Gwil, who was just about to leave the restrooms, turns around and picks it up for him.
'Here, you dropped your...... Pocket knife?'
Ben immediately looks down, desperately trying to avoid Gwil's gaze.
'Ben, say it's not true. Did you....' Gwil doesn't even dare to finish his sentence. He picks up his phone to call Rami. 'Sorry, but I'm gonna call Rami. He needs to know this.'
While the phone rings, Gwil sees Ben starting to stagger. The tall boy puts his phone on speaker and puts it on the sink. Luckily he is just in time to catch the fainting Ben.
'Hello, Gwil?' He hears coming from his phone.
'Rami, come to the toilets quickly. Ben has passed out and I need your help.' Gwil speaks as loud as possible hoping that Rami can hear him on the other end of the line.
'I'm on my way.' He hears before Rami ends the call.

As soon as Rami puts his phone away, Brian gives him a questioning look.
'Something is wrong with Ben. Can you maybe stay here in case there is news about Joe?' Rami asks as he gets up.
The guitarist nods. 'Yes of course. Go quickly.' Brian says with a reassuring smile.
'Thanks Brian.' Rami says gratefully.
He runs towards the toilets as fast as he can.
He storms into the toilets, but stops in the doorway.
'Jesus what happened?' He asks in shock. On the washtable he sees Ben's pocket knife, surrounded by blood.
'Oh my God....- He says in a shaky voice. 'D-did he...-' Rami does not finish this sentence either.
Gwil nods. 'Get a nurse quickly. I don't know how much blood he has already lost, but it looks like a lot.'

Rami nods and leaves the restrooms again. As soon as he has found a nurse and explains what happened, she goes to get Ben a bed as quickly as possible..
Ben is driven to a room as quickly as possible. Fortunately, that room is not far from where Joe is. Now the blond is also being examined, and the boys have to wait for the results of both Ben and Joe's test results.
Still shaken up from everything that just happened, Gwil and Rami walk back to the waiting room where Brian is still waiting. The latter jumps up from his chair as soon as he sees the two boys approaching. He sees that Gwil has tears in his eyes. Rami is biting his lip, and Brian can even see his hands shaking.
The tall boy wipes away his tears and asks Brian: 'Any news about Joe?'
Brian shakes his head.
'No, nothing yet." He says with a frown. 'Sit down for a moment and calmly explain what happened.' Brian taps the seat next to him with his hand. The boys nods, and sit down. Gwil takes a deep breath before he begins the story. Anything to kill a bit of time.

Soooo this was a pretty heavy chapter don't you guys think? Told you there was a lot of drama coming ;)
