Chapter 86

Three days later, Ben and Joe are on their way to Gwil and Lina's house. The six friends decided to go to a bar after the Queen and Adam Lambert gig with their friends.
Gwil had arranged with Brian that he and Roger would come to his house for the performance. While Brian kept saying it's just easier that way, Gwil knows deep down that Brian just can't wait to see the twins.

While Ben is driving them to Gwil's house, Joe gets a text from Rami. 'Rami and Lucy are already at Gwil's.' He says after reading the message.
Ben takes his eyes off the road for a second to look at his watch. 'Both of them already? But we aren't that late, are we?' He asks confused.
Joe too looks at the time, and shakes his head. 'No, we're even a bit early. But Rami is always too early, and Lucy is tagging along with him.' He says with a shrug.
'I thought Lucy has her own car? Then why does she need to tag along with Rami?' Ben asks with a small frown.
Joe nods. 'Yeah, she has. It might be just a silly thought, but I think Luce maybe regrets their break up. During that movie night a few weeks ago, she was almost holding Rami's hand. Maybe that's why she's tagging along with him.' As the ginger explains his thoughts to Ben, it only seems to make more and more sense.
Ben nods in agreement. 'That's not a silly thought at all. I think you might be right.' A smile appears on his face. 'Maybe we should give them a little push in the right direction.'
Joe chuckles softly when he sees the grin on Ben's face. He is about to say something, but doesn't get the chance because they arrived at Gwil's house. 
'Looks like Roger is already here.' Ben says when they're both out of the car.
Joe looks at him questioning.'How can you tell?' He asks confused.
Ben smirks. 'I recognize his car over there.'
Joe shakes his head laughing and walks over to his boyfriend. They intertwine their fingers and hand in hand they walk to the door.
Ben rings the doorbell, and Lina is the one to open it.
'Hey Lina, good to see you again!' Joe exclaims happily.
Lina giggles and hugs him. 'Likewise. It's been a while.'
Joe nods. 'Yeah, things have been busy lately.'
After Joe, it's Ben's turn to hug Lina.
She lets the boys in, but stops them before entering the living room. 'Prepare for the cutest thing in the world.' She says with a big smile.
Ben and Joe look at each other, and both have already a suspicion.

Quietly the three enter the room. Immediately big smiles grow on the faces of Ben and Joe. In the room they see Rami and Lucy already sitting on the couch.
On the opposite of the couch are Brian and Roger, both seated in an armchair. They don't pay attention to everything around them. All they're looking at, are the two little girls in their arms.
Ben swears that he never has seen Roger this sweet and soft before. In awe the drummer looks at the baby girl in his arms, and he doesn't look up until Gwil comes out of the kitchen and starts talking.
'Hey guys, good to see you. Have a seat.' He says with a smile.
Brian smiles when he sees the two. 'Hi boys.' He says happily.
Ben chuckles and sits down in the chair next to the one Brian is sitting in. 'Hi Bri, I hope we're not interrupting?'
Before Brian can answer, Rami speaks up. 'You two always interrupt, you know that.'
Joe rolls his eyes, and sits down on the couch next to Lucy.
Brian chuckles softly. 'No you're not interrupting.'
Lina comes out of the kitchen with drinks for Joe and Ben.
'Do you guys even know which girl you're holding?' Lucy asks with a grin.
Rogers smiles and thinks for a moment. 'I think this is Tess?' He says with a questioning undertone.
Lina giggles and shakes her head. 'No that's Lexi.'
Brian smiles when Roger rolls his eyes.
'How can you tell? They're identical and wearing the same baby onesies.' Roger asks while looking at the little Lexi, who has fallen asleep in his arms in the meantime.
'Well, normally they wear different clothes cause I sometimes mess things up too. But this morning Lina dressed them.' Gwil admits.

'So, did anything special happened in the time we were in the UK?' Brian asks after the conversation died a little.
In the meantime, the twins are back in the playpen, both making some happy noises in the background.
Immediately a big smile appears on Joe's face. Ben's cheeks turn a light shade of pink.
'Oh gosh what happened.' Roger asks with a big smirk.
Joe tries to hide his excitement and just shrugs. 'Oh, nothing that big.' He says.
Brian raises his eyebrow. 'So the fact that your boyfriend is sitting next to me with a face as red as a tomato has nothing to do with this?' He points at Ben, who indeed has started blushing in the meantime.
Joe giggles softly.
Lucy takes his hand and lifts it, so his ring gets visible.
'Oh my.... you two are engaged?' Brian exclaims happily.
Ben and Joe nod. Of course the first thing that happens is Brian and Roger congratulating the boys with their engagement.

After Ben and Joe tell about the night of the proposal, Roger looks at his watch. 'Brian, dress rehearsal starts in ten minutes. I'm afraid we have to go.'
Brian also checks his watch and nods in agreement. 'Yes, you're right. We'll see you guys at the show tonight.'
The others nod and get up to say goodbye to the two.

I gotta say, I'm not satisfied with this chapter. I tried a lot of things to improve it, but still I think it's kind of shitty. Anyone tips to improve it?
