Chapter 91

The next day, Ben and Joe both have to work all day.
Ben left right after breakfast for the meeting with the director of the X-Men movie, leaving Joe home alone.
The ginger is still working on his own film. He has finished writing the script a few days ago and is now looking for crew members and a good cast.
But today he can't keep his attention at the film.
He decides to make himself some coffee to get the flow of working back. But while waiting for the coffee machine to finish making coffee, Joe's mind wanders off to the wedding. He honestly can't wait to marry Ben. He grabs his cup of coffee, and walks back to the office.
But after staring at the screen of his laptop for about ten minutes, Joe gives up. To clear his mind he decides to put his work aside for now. He looks at the clock on the wall. Ben won't be home until an hour, which gives Joe time to arrange some things for their wedding. Although almost everything is already settled, he can't help but get all the details right.
After calling the florist, Joe makes a beginning to his vows. He gets carried away, and loses track of time.
He hears the sound of keys unlocking the front door, followed by Ben's voice: 'Sweetie I'm home!'
In a slight panic, Joe tries to turn off his laptop, hoping Ben won't come in. When his laptop won't turn off, Joe just quickly closes his laptop. Just in time, because not even a second later the door of the office opens.
'Hi baby.' Ben says with a smile.
Joe gets up from behind his desk. 'Hi love.' He says before pressing his lips against Ben's.
'Watcha doing?' Ben asks curiously.
Joe smiles widely at that. 'Just some wedding stuff.' He giggles when he sees twinkles appear in Ben's eyes.
'Can I see?' Ben asks, although he already knows the answer.
'Nope.' Joe says with a smirk before kissing the boy again. 'How did your meeting go?' The ginger asks curiously when they pull away.
A small smile appears on Ben's lips. 'Good, I guess. I really love the script and the whole cast seems very nice. So that's good, at least.'
Joe raises his eyebrow. 'Then why aren't you as excited as usual?' He asks as the two walk towards the living room.
Ben shrugs before sitting down on the couch. 'Well, it means I won't be here at home with you for two weeks. That's already hard, but shooting will start in 3 days.' He explains with a sigh.
Joe's eyes widen, and he sits down on the couch as well. 
'I won't go if you don't want me to go. You know, because of all that stuff that happened yesterday. I know it's soon.' Ben adds as he looks down.
Joe takes his hand and shakes his head. 'No way. You're going. I know you won't do it again. Plus I blocked your aunt's number, and you called your therapist this morning. So I trust you. We'll make it work and call each other as much as possible.' He says with a smile.
Ben's eyes light up in a second. 'Really?'
Joe nods with a smile.
'I love you blanket.' Ben says before leaning in to peck Joe's lips.

Their talk is interrupted by Ben's phone ringing. The blond takes his phone and looks who is calling him. 'It's Gwil.' He says surprised before answering the phone. He puts it on speaker so Joe can hear what Gwil has to say too. 
'Hey Gwil, what's up?' Ben asks.
'Ben, thank god. P-please tell me you and Joe are home? I- I really need both of your help.' Gwil's voice says through the phone.
The boys can hear Gwil is panicking.
'God Gwil, calm down. Yes we're both home. What's going on?' Joe says with a frown.
Ben and Joe look at each other with concern. They can hear that Gwil is about to say something, but he gets interrupted by the sound of a baby crying.
'Ohw sweetie I know. It's gonna be fine I promise.' Gwil tries to shush the little girl. 'It's- it's Lexi. She has a really high fever and the hospital said I have to bring her in. Lina is away with her car and mine is away for maintenance. She forgot her phone so I can't reach her. I need one of you to drive me and Lexi to the hospital, and the other to stay with Tess. Please?' Gwil rattles.
The boys can hear the despair in his voice. Their eyes widen slightly.
'Oh my. Yes of course. We're on our way Gwil. Don't worry, we'll be there in five minutes or so.' Joe says reassuringly.
Ben has already got up from the couch to grab the car keys and their jackets.
'T-thank you boys.' Gwil says with a trembling voice before ending the call.
