The 5th period bell rang and I ran downstairs to my locker. I breathed in and clicked the home button on my phone.
"Hey Maddie, how's u?"
My heart flutters and I can feel the butterflies in my stomach raving. I unlock my phone and sit down on the ground trying to collect my thoughts. I click on the app and see he has no picture of himself as his pro.
Sh*t he knows what I look like.
I quickly change my kik picture to a quote hoping he didn't see what I looked like but I'm assuming it's too late now. I hate my hair. It's thick and dark Carmel brown and always gets in my face. Doesn't help with it being long either. And my eyes are just a plain boring old brown. My smile is so cheesy, you can see my laugh lines starting to form already. Jeez might as well put a bag over my head and live under a rock.
Ugh he's always so mysterious. I wish he would let me in. But of course that's like me asking for the world. I sigh as I open his message and reply.
"Yeah I'm great. Wbu? :]" I click the off button but as soon as I do I feel a vibrate.
He answered that quick?
"I'm good ya, btw nice pic. Lol"
Sh*t he was always such a smart ass when he wanted to be. And this was one of those times. I laugh it off a bit and we start talking more about our classes and what subjects we like and dislike. It's almost the end of the period and it's 1:15 my time and 6:15 for him. I told him I'd text him in about an hour and got up to get my math books out of my locker. My screen flashes and a message shows up reading:
"Maddie ur smile is beautiful ya enjoy the rest of ur day"
Boy does he make my heart race or what!! He always says the right thing. How can such an angel like him like someone like... Me? Only god would know the answer to that question. But what I do know is.. I don't want him letting go.
Madison snap out of it you're getting too ahead of yourself. He's going to leave once he finds out you lied to him.
I shut my locker and walk to class with a smile on my face. But a thousand worries on my mind.
