Donavin looks over at me quickly and I signal him to act calm.
"Nothin Ma."
"No I know you two are up to something. What's going on?"
"Nothing that I know about." says Donavin as he gets up and walks out.
"Madison what is going on that I don't know."
"Mom it's nothing I swear."
She scans my eyes and looks down to my stomach.
"Oh god Madison are you pregnant?! I swear to god if you're pregnant I'm going to-"
"Mom no jeez! I'm not pregnant I'm still a virgin!"
"Are you sure??"
What kind of dumb ass question is that? Are you sure?
"Yes mother I'm positive."
"Oh thank god. I was going to break hell."
"I see." I reply dryly.
"Well what is it then?"
"Nothing it's normal stuff ma don't worry about it."
She walks over and sits beside me.
"Madison I know you well enough. You're either planning to do something or already did something you know I won't approve of."
Ya I'm plannin on gettin the hell out of here and be with Nathan that's what.
"I'm not plannin anything. I'm just focusing on finishing school."
"Good girl. Now finish your homework. And by the way, your birthday is coming up. Anything you want?"
A plane ticket please.
"No."
"You sure?" She asks.
"Ya actually I want a piercing."
She gasps and grabs her chest. Jeez what a drama queen. Someone please give this woman an Oscar Award for best actress of the year.
"Madison Rosario are you insane?!"
"Maybe a little." I smirk.
"You can get that piercing when you're out of this house. But as long as you live with me I better not see a piercing or else I'll rip it out."
"Jeez Ma it's just a nose piercing."
"I don't care. Your pretty as you are so don't go and fuck up your face."
I gasp and grab my chest, mocking her sarcastically.
"Mother! Such foul language!!"
"Oh hush up Maddie now finish your homework."
"If I can't get the piercing, can I at least travel."
"Where."
"Uh, away from here." I laugh.
"How far is away from here?"
"Uh pretty far."
"We'll see. By the way your father called, he ask if you can come by his house tomorrow. He needs to speak with you."
Ugh parents.
"Ya sure no problem."
I still gotta figure out what to do for Nathan's birthday. Time is ticking down.
She walks out the door and I grab my phone and call Luna.
"Hey girl what's up?" She asks.
"Nothing much what are you up to?"
"Nothing just really bored."
"Great. Come by my house in 10 minutes let's go out."
"Hell yeah finally you want to do something with your life. What's the occasion?"
"Nothing I just need to get away from this hell hole."
"Say no more. I'll be there in a few get dressed we are goin to have fun!"
We hang up and I instantly feel a weight lifted off me. Damn I guess lately has been stressful. It won't hurt to have fun and escape for a while.
