As soon as I see him by Nathan's side I sit up immediately trying to wrap the thoughts around my head, ignoring the fear that built inside me.
"Maddie this is Alexander, we study the same courses." Nathan says as he points beside him.
I knew who this guy was, very clearly actually. And I had no idea that he moved over here, let alone was friends with Nathan. I didn't tell him anything about Alexander or what he's done to me, so I can't blame him.
He looks surprised himself to find me here, but his expression immediately changes. He walks up to me and holds his hand out.
"Hi Madison, it's a pleasure to meet you."
His smirk sends a chill down my spine and I immediately feel uneasy. What kind of game was he playing. Pretending he doesn't know all he's done.
I try to excuse myself from the conversation, but Nathan doesn't seem to catch on. The entire time Alexander has been staring at me any moment Nathan wasn't paying attention. If I could, I'd rip his eyes out.
"Hey man you have anything to eat here?" He asks.
"I can run to the store real quick if you want. I had to do a bit of stocking up anyway. I'll be right back ya, you two get to know eachother."
My eyes plead for him to stay but again, he doesn't catch on. Once he leaves, Xander stands up.
"Didn't know you and Nathan were dating." he laughs.
"We aren't dating, we're in a relationship and it's none of your concern."
"Well sweetie, as you can see, you will always find a way back to me."
"Don't call me that."
"What are you going to do about it? And let me guess, you didn't tell him about us did you."
"Why would I? You're a part of my past, and a shit one while you're at it."
"Is that so? Then why do you keep coming back to me." He takes a seat beside me and I inch farther away from him.
"The hell do you mean keep coming to you? I want nothing to do with you so leave me the hell alone and we'll be fine."
"I mean, you know I've always loved you Maddie, you were always mine."
He brushes his hand across my cheek and I slap it away standing myself up.
"Don't touch me Alexander. And I'm not property to be considered yours."
"Listen to me, stop being a bitch and act right, understood? Sit down."
"No I'm not your fucking animal. You've obviously confused yourself with me." I huff.
He stands up and grabs my arms behind me with one hand and grips onto my neck with the other. I try to get out of his reach but he continues to grip tighter causing me to gasp for air.
"You've always been so easy to handle. What the hell made you so difficult?"
"Just.. l..let go.." I gasp.
"Tell me you love me."
"You.. you're.. a sick..bastard."
He grips even tighter and I swear I'm getting lightheaded, sensing my vision starting to blur.
"You're just making things worse for yourself my love."
Just when I feel all the life being taken out of me, I knee him causing him to let go and I try to make a run for it but he catches up and slams me to the ground.
Rubbing a fist, he walks towards me slowly.
