his precious baby rests over his shoulder as the three of you take the tube home. she stirs a little from the commotion. but settles back into his warmth as he shields her from the noise. part of his blazer used as a blankie to keep her warm. she makes little noises. ones that melts his heart.
a soft nudge to his ear, soft scratches to his hairs and soft whispers of praises makes his heart feel warm.
next station is Hampstead Heath.. the intercom says.
he stands up first and re-situates his sleepy baby over his shoulder. she stirs a little. but nestles back into his warmth. then you follow and whisper softly a right behind you.
he places his sleepy baby under the covers once your home and presses a delicate kiss to her head.
'night' he softly whispers.
