Things had been a little weird since Kailani and Quinn's second almost kiss last week. Both seemed to be walking on eggshells as they tried to figure the other out. Their conversation had actually not resumed quite yet, both busy between school, glee, extra activities, family issues, and the worst of it...Jacob Ben Israel's newest blog post.
He had implied there was a chance Quinn was gay and the girl seemed to go into a straight panic mode, distancing herself from Kailani and hanging out more with her boyfriend, who seemed happy about the arrangement. It had made Kailani feel like absolute shit, however, because all she wanted was to not feel like she was bothering the girl by hanging out with her.
Kailani once again felt lost.
She was pretty sure Quinn had been at least somewhat interested in her by the way they spoke to one another in the nurse's office, especially considering they had almost kissed. Again.
Friend's don't kiss? Right?
Not that they had kissed...yet?
Anyways, now with Quinn acting weird, she really wasn't sure. She had assumed the girl wasn't worried about the rumors since she didn't seem bothered by them before, but maybe Kailani had assumed wrong?
Kailani honestly just didn't like the feeling that Quinn was embarrassed by her.
Of course she was embarrassed of you, who wouldn't be?
The girl reached up and rubbed her temples, trying to rid the intruding thoughts from her head as her mind wandered a little further than she would have liked once again. She refocused on fixing the bow on her ponytail in the mirror of her locker, rolling her eyes and quickly grabbing her things when she spotted Kurt rushing towards her.
"Au revoir." Kailani mumbled a quick goodbye in French, slamming the door shut and turning to leave down the hall, not giving him time to speak.
"Lani, you have to talk to me eventually. I said I was sorry!" Kurt said, jogging next to his sister and sighing as she continued to look forward, books clutched to her chest. He looked down at the paper he had grabbed off Alisha's locker, before slipping it into his sister's books. "Just...Just look at it, okay? I don't know if it's a slut shame thing or a reputation thing, but...don't take it personally, okay? It's probably a joke."
Kailani frowned, shifting her things and looking down at the paper, suddenly stopping in the hallway as she scanned a Glist where she was number two on the long list.
