Kailani's happiness high from anti-anxiety meds and wedding jitters passed by like a cheap shady honeymoon as the next week rolled around. Dave Karofsky would be allowed to return to school because the school board sucks ass and although for some reason Hunter's case was opened back up at Mckinley, the jock that threatened her life walked the hallways carefree.

This time, however, Kurt had transferred to Dalton the next town over and Kailani was stuck clinging to Quinn as she was separated from her twin for the first time in eleven years at school. To say she was having separation anxiety was an understatement.

Panic attacks came and went, dissosiations caught her by surprise, and the worst of all? Not having anyone to sit next to in Home Ecomonics to ramble about the imcomplexitiy of the lesson now that her brother had transferred, though Rachel did offer to move and sit beside her, so she did have something to look forward to.

Though the next announcement made her question if Rachel was going to be in a sour mood the whole class period.

"You're not getting a solo for this competition Rachel."

Kailani turned her head away from where she was sharing eyes with Quinn, gasping in surprise at the announcement. She shared a small surprised look with her girlfriend, before turning her attention towards the front in hopes the class period would be more interesting.

"Finally!" Alisha threw her hands in the air and cheered.

"So what song do I get to sing?" Mercedes asked, smirking.

"I was actually thinking that we could try a new combination for this competition. Focus on a few unheard voices, so...Sam and Kailani will be taking the duet." Mr. Schuester said, as Kailani instantly felt arms tighten possesively around her waist.

Way to make me feel bleh about finally getting my shot, Mr. Slutster.

"Ken and Barbie?" Rachel screeched, as Kailani frowned and turned her head to look at the girl in confusion.

"Man, babe, where do I buy your barbie?" Alisha laughed, seeing the confused look on Kailani's face. She reached over to flick Kailani's snapback off her head, but Quinn smacked her hand away, fixing it over her braided hair. "You're the damn Barbie, Blondie."

"Look, no offense to Kai at all, but are you trying to throw this competition? They've never even sung together before!" Rachel whined, as Kailani fixed her glasses with a slight annoyed twitch of her brow.

"I don't sing much in general." Kailani mumbled under her breath, earning a comforting rub on her thigh from Quinn.

"You used to be just sort of unlikable." The blonde growled, glaring at Rachel in her partner's defense. "But now I pretty much feel like punching you every time you open your mouth."
