Keys rattled in the apartment's lock for a short moment, earning a loud meow from Prince Fletcher as he scurried towards the front door in hopes of greeting his favorite humans.

Brittany Lopez-Pierce pushed the door open as she balanced the bag of groceries in her arm and a few other belongings. She carefully tried to cut Prince Fletcher off from the door, beyond use to his escape plans now that Brooke had attempted to teach him to walk on a leash.

Though it wasn't what she had in mind when she told Brooke to find a hobby, Brittany was supportive of anything that kept her depressed child happy and out of the eigth wing again.

"Not today, Prince. Brookie will take you later, bubs." Brittany chuckled, closing the door behind her as the orange three legged cat rubbed against her calf and purred loudly, approving of anyone finally arriving home to give him attention.

Brittany made her way into the kitchen, sliding the grocery bag onto the counter and a smaller CVS bag on her wrist filled with her children's medications, before untucking the folder that was slid under her arm and setting it down on the counter with a soft sigh.

"Brookie, baby!" Brittany called towards the hallway where her daughter's rooms were located. "Can you come here for a minute?"

Brittany flipped open the folder labeled Brooklynn L.P - Avalon Acadamy and leaned against the counter as she gazed at the multiple Ds and Fs on the mid-term report she had been handed in the office that Monday morning after receiving a concerned call from the school's dean.

She knew her youngest daughter had been struggling, that wasn't unknown, but the last thing she expected was an ambush from the guidance counselor informing her that Brooke could possibly be held back if she didn't improve as well as being – once again – concerned profusely for her mental health, recommending her child go to therapy.
