Although Kailani Fabray had been through the motions of their own marriage, nothing would have prepared them for the day they'd walk down the aisle again. Escorting their daughter was a dream come true, especially having the pleasure of seeing her fall in love and start a family. The only damper in today's plans was her own family stressing poor Reese out before the actual wedding could take place.
Beth rolled her eyes and darted toward the door. "I'll go call him again. Maybe Russ can check the hotel."
"Thanks, Bee." Reese exhaled, cheeks flushed with worry.
"Do you think he's having second thoughts?" Vaughn gasped, holding her son's shoulders as Ezra played on his tablet with an impatient look. "And here I thought Juni would be the alter runner!"
Juniper looked up from her homework and gasped. "Hey! I take offense to that."
"Oh, shut up." Vaughn rolled her eyes. "Do your nerdy homework while we all party."
"It's not my fault I have finals coming up."
"We both have finals coming up."
"And we'll both see who passes their finals."
"You both will pass." Kailani sent the two girls a look. "Because Momma and I are not paying for an extra semester because you decided to slack off."
"My slacking off is due to my child's needs." Vaughn smiled innocently. "Unlike Ambrose, whose child showed up at his own wedding before he did. Like, damn, dawg is cold, leaving Reese at the altar like this. Maybe he hopped a train and left for Canada."
"Vinnie!" Juniper gasped.
"Listen you little brat, he is coming!" Reese whipped around from the mirror and growled at her younger sister's smirk. "Vaughn, I will hang you up in this church for God to smite you down—"
"I had sex in these pews." vaughn snorted. "Pretty sure Shawn and I made Ezzie here."
Ezra's eyes widened, looking up at his mother.
"Ew, Mom! That's gross!"
"Hukuna My ta-tas."Vaughn schrugged when Juniper sent her sister a look. "Circle of life."
"You need to rewatch Lion King." Juniper grumbled, returning her attention to her homework.
"Lovey." Kailani took the tissue and lightly dabbed it under their daughter's eyes, trying their best not to ruin any of Reese's makeup. "You're right. Ambrose is coming. There's just a lot of traffic in the city. It happens."
