A/N: Trigger for E.D, PTSD episodes, depression, anxiety, and death!

Kinda a filler chapter, but I'm editing Nationals next and I cannot believe we're about to be in season 3 😭

Sorry for any mistakes!

Her fingers trailed over the soft pale skin in front of her, gliding easily with the help of the water running down from the shower head above them. It was warm, not hot, but warm from running at the length it had been over their bodies inside the steamy room. Soap slicked over her finger tips, pressing into the silk like flesh beneath her touch.

She was addicted.

The blonde teenager had come to crave the stimulating tingling feeling that paired with her chest against her lover's back. One arm around her tiny waist that connected to the flat hand on her abdomen, feeling Kailani's body move with every breath and stretch that allowed her own hands over Quinn's body. Her other explored the body before her with a ghost's touch, carefully and delicately as if Kailani Hummel was made of scatterable glass.

The hesitation in each touch of course had a reason behind it. That imagination of her partner made of glass wasn't far off at this point and for the first time in a while, Quinn was able to see it all.

Anyone in her position would be ecstatic, and usually she would be, but the only thing she could focus on in their current situation was all the little things that waved red flags towards her frantically.

How had she missed the red flags for so long?

Quinn could see it. Feel it.

The way her ribs weren't barely poking out anymore, they were boarder lining a defined indention and unnatural curve to her body. Her hip bones and spine were easier to reach, not protruding, but Quinn was sure if this continued it wouldn't have been long. She could feel the way her collarbones easily brushed against her finger tips without trying, the way her baby face looked thinner and her eyes dull even with that god damn smile across her lips.

The honest truth?

Kailani Hummel was beginning to look sick.

"I'm gonna go visit Sonnet on Wednesday since there's that amateur play out that way. Did you want to come with me? It's in the evening and they're doing A Midsummer Night's Dream."

Kailani's voice faded back into her senses as she turned around in Quinn's arms, tilting her head back and letting the water run the soap down the drain from her now raven shaded locks, joining the sound of the water and faint music from the laptop on the bathroom counter.
