Mercedes hit the gavel against the wooden block, signalling the beginning of the God Squad's meeting in Mr. Schuester's new history classroom. She looked around, sending a welcoming smile towards the group's newest members, pleased to see certain teenagers in the room willingly.
"I now call this meeting of the God Squad to order." Mercedes announced, as Alisha grinned, nodding her head in support of her girlfriend. "Thank you guys for coming. Our first order of business is to welcome Quinn Fabray back into the fold. It's nice to see you, Quinn."
"Thank you." Quinn smiled, folding her hands on top of the table. "I know it's been a while. When I was at my lowest, I turned to prayer. Now even sure who I was praying to, really, but it seemed to lead me on the right track."
"Amen!" Alisha giggled, as Mercedes rolled her eyes playfully at her girlfriend's amusement.
"Praise."
"And now I'd like to welcome our newest members." Mercedes turned to the other side of the table and grinned proudly. "Ambrose Wills, Reese Forbes, and Vaughn Jones."
"Thank you for having us, Mercedes." Reese smiled, as Quinn nodded, pleased to see a few of her children in the club, though she didn't expect Vaughn of all people to join.
"We look forward to getting involved." Ambrose added, hand brushing Reese's thigh under the table before settling in his lap.
Vaughn looked around the room, arching her brow when her eyes landed on the boy across from her. "What's with tarantula head over there?" She asked, folding her arms over her body and leaning back in her chair.
"Vinnie." Reese hissed, sending her little sister a stern look.
"I'm just asking!" Vaughn defended herself, scoffing.
Mercedes sent Quinn a quick look, before smiling politely towards Vaughn. "This is another one of our new members. Vinnie, this is Joseph Hart, but you can call him Joe. He just transferred here to Mckinley." She explained, as Ambrose nodded his head to the boy across the table.
"Yeah, I guess I'm a sophomore. I've been home-schooled my whole life." Joe replied, as Vaughn tilted her head and looked over the boy. "But this past year, I realized my best friend was my mom, so I decided I wanted to get out and experience the world."
