Quinn's eyes lifted from the mocha-colored liquid in her cup, a conflicted expression etching across her face.

"Sometimes I wonder if I was too hard on her," she mused aloud. Her gaze followed Kailani Dawns as she interacted with Mackenzie and Elizabeth over something on the whiteboard across the basement. Quinn took a deep breath before taking a sip of her coffee. "Lani and I were really happy before I let everything ruin it... and then I did the same to my kids."

Santana scoffed, shaking her head. "Look, if you're about to say you aren't meant to be with Kai, I'm gonna beat yo ass. I did not do all this shit for your partner if you're going to decide not to be with them."

Quinn's voice lowered, setting down her coffee and dropping her gaze again, "What if I'm not meant to be with them? What if... What if I only loved her because Mackenzie loves Kailani?"

"That wouldn't be possible." Carmen spoke up and offered Quinn a small smile over her book. "You two wouldn't have clashed as hard as you had if it was completely influenced by two other soulmates. You love Kailani for the things that make her different than Kailey, but it's hard for you to fully love her because you don't connect with her clashing counterpart."

"So..." Alisha raised her eyebrows. "What does that mean?"

"It means Lucy loves Kai," Carmen said, tilting her head as Quinn frowned. "However, she can't truly love her and be happy without separating her from Kailey. The same goes for you and Mackenzie."

"So, how do we do that?" Quinn asked. "Because I feel like my relationship is doomed! All I've done is hurt them, and Kai has hurt me in return. It's toxic! My kids are in danger!"

"We need to deal with Bryan," Alisha suggested, rolling her wrist. "Put an end to that entire line of abusers."

"I agree," Santana nodded. "But killing seems too extreme."

Kurt sighed, looking away from his friends toward his mother. "Why can't everyone live and make it work?"

"Because everyone lived through each other, creating a mess," Quinn's eyebrows raised. "They inhabited our bodies and destroyed any sense of a future."

"This is so depressing. I came back from the dead to be depressed," Alisha rolled her eyes and sank in her chair. "Get over it."

"So, what's the plan here?" Santana kicked Alisha's foot off the chair where she was resting her feet. "Are we going to take care of this guy or not? I have no issue with murder if it get's me back to my kids. I've been dead too long and need to see them."

"Can you not shout?" Mackenzie hissed, pointing to the ceiling. "My parents aren't deaf!"

"Clearly," Santana rolled her eyes.
