Kailani Hummel dragged herself out of her bed once she knew Rachel and Kurt had gone off to their daily activities, stumbling towards the bathroom and practically falling into the tub in her boxers and hoodie.

She leaned her head back against the wall of the tub, breathing heavily as she tried to think clearly through the foggy feeling that had entered her head with that short walk into the bathroom. Her foot lifted towards the handle, fighting through the aching in her body as she kicked it to the left and winced at the sudden water hitting her body.

Kailani lethargically turned onto her side, ignoring the faint sound of Sonnet moving around in his kennel, knowing he was probably concerned that he couldn't get to her. She knew it would only make things stressful for him not knowing what to do in a situation she couldn't even guide him in. She curled her knees to her chest the best she could, closing her eyes and giving in to the burning feeling behind her eyes with a loud sob that muffled behind the rushing water that fell over her body.

This last week had been difficult.

And that was the easy way of putting it.

Kailani had really tried to get through everything she had to do, but between her classes at NYADA, being a nanny, prepping for the band's debut, and trying to fight through her heart's slow breaking, it was becoming nearly impossible to function.

Maybe she was overworking herself and experiencing her heart ripping out of her chest at the same time as burn out...right?

Kailani had her brother and friends, which was nice, but it wasn't helping the pain go away. Only placing a soft bandaid over the wound. And maybe that's what she was doing with Roxy and Clyde. Same with Kayla and Wren. Attempting to fill the void she felt of not having Quinn and Alisha by her side to help her through this pain.

The mental pain would have been enough. The feeling of exhaustion that overtook her body and held her hostage in a Bella Swan in New Moon like depression that made her feel like the world was spinning and she was barely moving once again.

Not even her birthday was worth it.

The mental pain had turned into physical pain. Somehow and someway, it did and Kailani's stress levels rose to the point she was skipping NYADA classes just to stay on top of her band cheorogrphy and recording. She knew it wasn't going to help her in the long run, but Kailani had an idea of what she wanted to do.

Not that anyone was going to like her decision, but this was her life and if Quinn was willing to cheat knowing their kids were in Lima trying to save her from death, then maybe she could work around things and make it work here.
