"I am very disappointed in you guys." Mr. Schuester continued his lecture, shaking his head after he finished explaining how Rachel had kindly informed him of the members that don't participate in vocal warm ups.
"I can't believe you narced on us." Finn scoffed, sulking in his chair.
Alisha rolled her eyes, not making too much movement since Kailani was half asleep against her shoulder. "I can. I don't see why anyone is surprised." She mumbled, exchanging a small smile with Mercedes beside her.
"Don't get mad at me for exposing your laziness." Rachel said, as Alisha's eyes rolled further back into her head. "I am tired of carrying all your weight. Regionals are in a month, guys!"
"I'm just trying to understand what's going on here." Mr. Schuester admitted, looking around in confusion. "Finn, why did you stop singing?"
"Cause you started giving all the male leads to Jesse. It kind of shook my confidence, y'know." The quarterback shrugged.
"Hm." Kailani hummed, biting her tongue as to not say anything, but sure by the way Alisha chuckled, she practically tasting the salt on her best friend's tongue.
Santana groaned, checking her nails. "Ugh. What difference does it make? Everyone knows my job here is to look hot." She said, as Alisha nodded, but stopped when Mercedes glanced in her direction, smiling innocently.
"My baby hormones are making me moody." Quinn excused herself.
"There are so many lyrics." Brittany admitted, massaging her temples.
"I don't see the point when we all know it's the Rachel and Jesse show." Alisha admitted, as Mercedes nodded in agreement, snapping.
"Preach, sister." She agreed.
Kailani snorted at the wording, but nodded, pursing her lips and snapping without raising her head from her friend's shoulder.
"Okay. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link." Mr. Schuester began another lesson of the week lecture. "A glee club is about a myriad of voices coming together as one. Alright? This ends now. Which is why your assignment for the week is for each of you to come up with a song that best represents how you see yourself, where you are in your lives right now. Your voice. Then you're going to stand up here and sing your hearts out. All of you."
"Solos?" Kurt gasped, happily.
"In front of everyone?" Kailani's brows rose, sitting up at the opportunity. Though she wasn't one for the spotlight, she enjoyed the ability to pick her own music and show off her range.
