A few weeks had passed since the Titans won the championship game. Candy hearts were being passed around the hallways in between all the paper hearts that were taped up on the cement walls around the school. Everyone was in search of their official valentine for the day of all things love and hearts as it approached one love song at a time.
Although, for one football player, he was walking taller and carrying a bigger stick than last semester to fight off the ladies. He had collect many candy hearts since their big win, but he was missing the one heart he truly wanted to collect this Valentines Day.
Kailani Hummel.
And there she was, standing at the end of the hall with the cutest smile and her favorite Justin Bieber snapback positioned backwards on her head. Her enchanting stormy eyes that reminded him of the Blue Moon ice cream flavor at Sweet Treats uptown and the way her freckles captivated him in like a star filled night should be illegal.
Kailani was the one.
He could feel it in his heart and though Sam Evans tried really hard to keep it friendly and civil so Kailani's girlfriend wouldn't be up in his face again, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was a spark.
Bingo.
Sam smiled when Kailani caught his eyes over Quinn's shoulder, offering him one of her shimmering smiles in return that swooned him internally. He picked up the lime in his locker and held it out to her view, pleased when the girl giggled in response. He frowned a second later, however, when Quinn turned and glared at him.
Sighing, Sam watched Quinn pull Kailani's face back to focus on her as she continued talking, moving her body to block his view of the girl's adorable quizzical look, head tilt and all.
She was so cute.
There had to be a way to get his dream girl around Quinn Fabray's German Shepard like guard. He knew the reason things didn't work out with Alisha were because his heart was still pulling towards Kailani, and of course, maybe the fact Alisha was hopefully crushing on Mercedes Jones, but that's an unimportant subject. His heart belonged to Kailani and there had to be a way to shift the universe in his favor, especially with Valentine's day directly around the corner.
Maybe I should just go for it.
The blonde haired football player smiled again when he noticed Kailani's eyes flicker towards him when Quinn shifted, falling to the lime he was tossing in the air as he shamelessly daydreamed about the youngest Hummel twin.
