My heart is falling piece by piece,
The stitches are ripping, pulling at the seams.
I know we are over, it's all just a nightmare.
But looking at you still feels like a dream.
We yell and shout and argue all the time,
And afterwards you tell me "we just aren't right".
But then I'll come back and knock at the door;
It is the same every single night.
Do you know how empty it is?
Without you to fill the void.
Do you know how silent it is?
Not able to hear your voice.
I hope you find someone better,
Who'll make you happy, make you smile.
Though I still think we would've succeeded,
But you thought I wasn't worth the extra mile.
