She wailed and screamed, but that didn't change the fact that Josiah was dead.

Later that night, as she laid silently in her bed, covering her face with a warm blanket, she let the silent tears stream down her face.

As she cried and cried, she could only wish and hope for some miracle to happen, for the pain and the misery to stop.

But all she could feel was the black in her heart, like the darkness that covered her eyes; and she could only imagine that that's what surrounded Josiah as Death corrupted him.

I'm pretty sure this story wasn't made at that time, but I found it saved on my phone and couldn't figure out the date, so I just saved it as 'Jan 1'. I remember, when I made this short story, that I was trying to make up something creative off the top of my head; so this is literally the first words and sentences I thought about that got created into this small tale.
