[Guzaarish- KK (Optional)]

Sunghoon huge palm closed around Leah's little head. He could feel the quiet wisps of her breath on his body. Today and tomorrow were going to be the last time he could hold her like this.

God knows how he was going to survive one whole year. Just thinking that the day after tomorrow, he would wake up and not see her drowsy figure early in the morning, rubbing her eyes and yawning, complaining about Niki cheating in the game, or excitedly showing him the new hairstyle that Sunoo tried on her, sent him to such a disbelieving panic.

His hand tightened around her back. He must've gone crazy like Jay. He wanted to tell her that it must've been a demon inside him who was so ready to kick her out and enjoy the pained look on her face. At that moment, it was like hot rage had overtaken him, followed by a desire to see her suffer like him. Passing a little of it back to its source wouldn't hurt, right? It must be something foreign inside him that wanted it.

Something dark, something that wasn't the usual him. It had taken over him when she said she wasn't coming to their concert. The annoying anger from that time had morphed into a heavier, more aggravating feeling inside him.

He couldn't even apologize. But she took pity on him and didn't turn him away. He should've been sitting down asking her to forgive him, but instead, she allowed him to sit with her, willingly hugging him to break the ice.

He glanced at Heeseung, who was sitting in front of them, just watching over them with a fond but sad gaze.

The atmosphere was solemn, burdened by the latest events. They did not know which one was worse- the breakup line that Jay and Leah were walking on or the fact that they'd be on that flight alone, going back to their own world of fake glamour.

A world devoid of her presence. A world where they did not see her smile or hold her in their arms. What was even the point of performing when Leah wasn't there to cheer for them?

But then, they couldn't get this dreadful thought out of their head. What if Jay and Leah had actually broken up? How would they have handled Jay then? Yes, Jay was going insane, too violent for his own good; but if Leah had actually broken up with him, where did the rest stand with their own relationships?

It was always seven. No one was supposed to be left behind. And Jay had absolutely destroyed that aspect. He had put a question mark on not only his but the whole group's relationship. Now it was just the six of them, with their original dynamic lost somewhere in the time they failed to understand Jay's condition.

The result was this. Leah in her bedroom with Heeseung and Sunghoon. Jay with Sunoo and Jungwon in his. Niki and Jake in theirs, alone. All of them suffering from either of the two events. All of them... drowning, without a fight, into the silence and sadness that seemed to echo in their minds.

(K- Cigarettes after sex)

The clock struck 2 AM. I lay there in the bed, not a wink of sleep in my eyes. Today, everyone was in their own rooms. Sunoo had come in earlier to kiss me goodnight. Looking at his solemn face, I didn't have it in me to ask him to stay. He needed some solitude as much as anyone else did.
