Thousands of miles away from a breaking daydream, in a city that hid its ugly truth behind a glamourous façade, the seed for an oncoming fairytale was being sown.

Or was it truly a fairytale?

How do you even define a fairytale? In the absence of castles, princesses, and dragon riders, does a fairytale hold any significance in the real world?

Is it not just a magical and out-of-this-world feeling? 'Magical' might be an important term here. It reminds you that such a feeling needs to be happy or lead to happiness in the least.
Because not everything that feels 'other worldly' is magical.

Can you imagine what it feels like when someone steps out of the pages of those fairytales they've been reading in the comfort of their home?

That feeling when you are surrounded by Grim Reapers, dressed in gorgeous human skins as they hold your death in their hands in a mundane manner?

That is the time when you see your people in your mind nodding to you. And you raise your chin up to smile at the reapers.

The city of glamour has shown its true colors. And the darkness within it beckons you- to either get lost in it or be one with it.

Welcome to the city of Haunting Fairytales.

Somewhere in Hannam-Dong, where the wealthiest of the wealthy lived, a man stood grim in the living room of his mansion. The living room, a hue of greys and whites, was sleek and classic in its minimal furnishing.

With its white couches and a glass coffee table in the center, the place might've looked inviting if it weren't for the stressed man in the same proximity. He gripped his phone tightly, waiting for that text, that one confirmation. And when his phone buzzed, he closed his eyes and gritted his teeth before opening the message.

Suho
It's true. They got another.
Yang Jeongin

The phone struck the wall. It shattered into pieces and fell to the floor.

Another one.

Another one has been sacrificed.

This was the third one in the last two months.

Where did this new confidence stem from? The cases had gone down significantly in the past year. Then why again? And how did they switch up from nugu groups to the leading all at once? Targetting Stray Kids out of everyone?

"What's going on here?"

A sharp voice cut through the agonizing silence. Another man, dressed in a black hoodie and trousers, entered the room. He glanced at his younger member hunched over at the coffee table. Distress was radiating off him in waves. The man glanced at the shattered mess at the end of the room and sighed.

"Namjoon-ah, what's wrong?" he asked.

Kim Namjoon looked up, eyes bloodshot with anger. His hands were clenched in a tight fist.

"They got another one." He muttered.

The man sighed again.

"I know." He said.
