The North Western Railway is one of the few railways in the world to still use steam locomotives in revenue earning service. Every engine is different, with only two being in the same class. The NWR roster ranges fromVictorian engines to late BR-built engines and everything in between. Some ofthe engines on this list have had their basis or background altered for the sake of this universe. Most of the engine's liveries have also been altered to fit the narrative. The official color for NWR engines in the early days was a shade of light blue. This stopped being the case when James came to the railway. After this, it became a tradition to let the engines choose their own colors.
