Jenny was the former No. 2 for the MSR. She replaced Stanley in 1929 after he was turned into a pumping engine behind the Arlesdale Sheds. Ever since, Stanley resented her for replacing him and made her life a living hell. It got so bad that the manager moved Stanley to the Cas-Ny-Hawin slate mine. After that, Jenny continued with her work as normal. Jenny was an engine built by Fletcher Jennings & Co. similar to Rheneas. The main differences were that Jenny was painted blue, had six wheels instead of four and had a different cab and buffer beam than Rheneas. She got both her name and nickname from her builders. Most of the engines called her Fletch, except for Duke, because he said that "it would never suit His Grace," so he always called her Jennifer. Jenny was friends with almost all of the engines, apart from Stanley. After a while she became an afterthought to the management. She was sold along with Stuart and Falcon to the Aluminium Works in 1947. She worked with them until they were sold to the SKR in 1951. Jenny stayed up at Peel Godred even after the Aluminium Works were turned into an Ironworks. She worked a line that went from an iron mine in the hills to the works below. She was good friends with Harry, Bert and Allias for the longest time. Then one day the management decided to just build a standard gauge line to the mine instead of relying on the little one. Since the narrow-gauge rails were being ripped up, Jenny was finally sold off to the Skarloey Railway in 2001. The others engines said their goodbyes, and Jenny was loaded on the next train to Crovan's Gate. An engine was needed to help run trains from the newly opened coal mine near Lakeside, so Jenny was brought on to help. She adjusted almost immediately to her new job. She was very glad to reunite with her Mid Sodor friends. She also was glad to finally meet Rheneas. Since they were the same type of engine they were siblings, however Jenny was considerably younger. Since they look so similar, Jenny is always seen with a lamp that used to belong to a long-forgotten engine. The lamp is old but always seems to produce light.
