Jeanette is sort of an afterthought when it comes to exceptional engines. It isn't that she is unimportant, mind you. She doesn't take too kindly to the spotlight. She had a rather uneventful career on BR, until 1958. This was when she was sent to Sodor, along with 7 other engines, to help out while Sir Charles took his engines to London. She was assigned to the Ffarquhar line, along with 2 other engines. She took quite a liking to Thomas during the short time they were around each other. She found it quite amusing when he made a fool of himself trying to impress her. When she returned to BR, she worked uneventfully until her withdrawal in 1966. Luckily Jeanette decided to keep in touch with Thomas after they parted ways. Since they're locomotives, their crews would write letters on their behalf. Once the news broke, Thomas practically twisted Sir Charles' arm into saving her. While he didn't have space, he knew someone who was more than willing to buy an engine. Sir Robert needed another engine to maintain the estate, and Jeanette was perfect for the job. Thomas was moping around for a good while until she showed up at Ffarquhar. Even though she works at the estate railway, she'll make her way down to see him when she's able.
