Rebecca was built after the end of the Second World War. She mainly worked out of Southampton pulling the express trains from the ocean liners. She did this until 1966 when she was withdrawn. Instead of being sold for scrap, she was bought by the Duke and Duchess. She was never named, so they named Rebecca after their daughter. Rebecca is a pleasant engine, but she lacks a lot of confidence. Sometimes she can get words mixed up when she's nervous. Her class had a prominent wheel slip issue, and she was no exception. Despite this she still pulled the excursion trains for the Duke and Duchess. She also sometimes helps with express trains like Spencer. It is a little awkward since she doesn't have corridor connections in her tender, unlike Spencer and Gordon. Nevertheless, she always tries her absolute best whenever she does anything. In the TVS, Rebecca is painted a vexing shade of yellow with orange and blue thrown in. In this universe, she is painted in the traditional BR green most West Counties were seen in, with minor changes to the lining. Since Rebecca is No. 22 in the TVS, I have made her an honorary one since she usually helps the most on the NWR.
