Millie is another engine that was built specifically for the SKR. She was built by a builder in France ordered by Sir Robert as a gift for Mr. Sam. Since the SKR's track width is 2ft 3" and French narrow-gauge track is over 1ft, Millie is twice the size of most narrow-gauge engines in France. Once she was built, she was sent on a goods train through the Channel Tunnel. The train stopped in Manchester, and Felix was sent to pick her up. He brought Millie to Crovan's Gate and left her near the sheds. Since she was transported so fast, she had no time to learn any English. The best way to describe her during her first days is a deer in headlights. Luckily, she came to the line around the time another MSR engine was being overhauled. He was also a modified French design. Since he had been on the island for decades, he had mastered his English. Over the course of a few months, Millie was able to learn English, although she still talks with a noticeable French accent. Millie is a very friendly engine, but she does get frustrated easily. She doesn't seem to get along well with Duncan. Whenever they argue, you can usually hear Duncan swearing in Scots and Millie swearing in French. One interesting fact is that Millie shares a name with one of the coaches on the line, Millicent.
