Spencer is one of the Silver Jubilee A4s. He pulled the Silver Jubilee with 3 of his other brothers. At some point Spencer was bought by the Duke and Duchess. When he was bought, his valances were removed just like the rest of the A4s. Spencer has never been the nicest engine to work with. Most people think that the prestige of the Silver Jubilee went to his smokebox and being preserved made it worse. Nevertheless, Spencer does the same job as Connor and Caitlin. Spencer comes to Sodor during the summer most of the time. He still carries his old title, Silver Fox. Sometimes he pulls regular express trains on Sodor, much to the other engines' displeasure. He was brought down a peg or two when he ran out of steam on Gordon's Hill and when Edward beat him to the site of the Duke and Duchess' new summer house near Suddery.
