Alaric and Eric are the final two engines on the CFR. They are described as quiet engines who do their work in the background. This is because both of them are mute. No one is quite sure how or why, but it doesn't change the fact that they are. They handle much of the passenger work. Their drivers are usually the ones that speak for them. Also, apparently Alaric's driver is married to a woman that works at the Summit Hotel, so you can imagine he gets rather excited to go up there.
