Glynn was one of the coffee pot engines on the Elsbridge & Knapford Railway and the Tidmouth, Elsbridge & Knapford Light Railway in 1885. He worked on the line still when the TE&KLR and W&SR merged to become the Tidmouth, Wellsworth & Suddery Railway. Glynn also went to work up at the Anopha Quarry with another one of his siblings in 1925. He was eventually retired in 1951, when he was no longer needed. Instead of being broken up like his siblings, Glynn was maintained in a shed by the Hatt family for decades. Then one day in the 1970s Glynn was sold to Sir Robert for his Railway Museum. Glynn was one of the first permanent engines at the museum. He handled most of the tourist trains until the others got there. Glynn can be rather temperamental sometimes but is overall a nice engine. He is like a mentor to Ryan, the engine that did odd jobs around the estate. I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but Glynn weirdly sounds a lot like Skarloey. I wonder if they'll ever meet.
