Daisy is one of BR's Class 122 diesel railcars. She was brought to the NWR for a trial after Thomas' incident with the stationmaster's house at Ffarquhar. She was stubborn and lazy at first, but she soon learned sense. When Thomas returned, Daisy became the NWR's first diesel and started running a fast commuter service from Ffarquhar to the junction at Knapford. Daisy is still stubborn sometimes, but she still gets her work done. She has surprisingly become good friends with James, who has never been a big fan of diesels. The two seem to get along, nonetheless. Daisy does have a few incidents on record including an incident with a bull, an incident with some eels, and a conflict with George the Steamroller. She also got stuck in the snow one time, but most engines have on Sodor. Other than that, Daisy has been relatively accident free. She doesn't always get along with the other engines, Thomas and Percy especially. She also has arguments with Mavis sometimes. She used to use her fitter as an excuse, but not anymore.
