Capulet is the NWR's only class 08 shunter. There are two other 08s, but Capulet is the only one owned by The Fat Controller. Like Duck, Capulet has a nickname. A lot of engines just call him Diesel. I will refer to him as Diesel until he gains his name. Diesel was trialed on the NWR in 1952. In the short time he was there he caused an incident with some old trucks. It was his own fault, but Diesel blamed Duck for his misfortune. He then told lies about Duck to the trucks. This got Duck sent to Wellsworth to bank trains up Gordon's Hill. Eventually Diesel was found out and sent back to BR in disgrace. He returned again to help out at Knapford Harbor but caused more trouble. He was brought back again to help on Thomas' branch line when Percy was ill. He caused trouble again and was sent away once more. This time he redeemed himself by helping Thomas back onto the rails after he slithered down a hill and derailed. After this, Diesel returned in the 1990s to help on the Little Western after Wilbert the Forest Engine's visit. Things were tense on the line, but after Diesel proved to be a useful engine, the engines accepted him. When Diesel became the NWR's 6th diesel, he gained a nameplate that read "Capulet". This was a reference to Duck and Diesel's feud since Duck's name is Montague. After Diesel became an official NWR engine, he didn't have any more incidents. Most of the diesels are painted in a variant of BR green, except Diesel. He has always been painted black and has stayed that way.
