Molly started life as an LNER D15. She pulled passenger services on the main lines, until she was loaned to the NWR in 1925. She was a little more outgoing back then, so she was rather friendly. Then she was unfortunately withdrawn in 1935. She stayed on a sighting for years and became incredibly sad and lonely. Then one day in 1938, a man by the name of Sir Edward Norramby came and bought her. He said that he wanted to restore her to working order. Molly was glad to finally move from her sighting. Her restoration was started and then quickly put back on hold when the second world war started. Molly was then put in a shed near Ulfstead. Sodor was never bombed as much as Britain was, but a few raids did occur at Peel Godred, near Ulfstead. This made Molly even more anxious and jumpy than she already was before. Once the war ended, Molly had been all but forgotten again. Then one day a young man named Robert Norramby came and told her what had happened since she had been shut up in her shed. This made Molly even more sad than ever. Shortly after, Sir Robert sold Molly and 3 other engines to his good friend Sir Stephen. They were all restored or repaired to full working order. Once Molly's repairs were done she was temporarily assigned to the Brendam branch, where she met Edward. She was incredibly shy at first, but once they started talking, she saw Edward as a good friend and confides in him often. Once Molly completed her trials, she was tasked to run a special train from Wellsworth to Vicarstown. She also helped out at the transfer yards in that area before Great Waterton reopened. Molly was actually the one to discover Great Waterton in this universe instead of Thomas. Great Waterton is much too far east for Thomas to realistically travel, so I decided Molly would find it. It happened when Duncan tricked Molly into going down the old, abandoned tracks to the old town in 2004. She immediately went back to the transfer yards and told everyone about it. Word spread quickly, and Sir Stephen thought it was a good idea to restore the town for its historic value. He partnered with the various company heads to do this, as well as Sir Robert. Then he put Molly in charge of the reconstruction work. This gave Molly a big boost of confidence. Then things started to go wrong. Most of the events that happen in this universe happen similarly to how they do in The Great Discovery. After Great Waterton is reopened, Molly runs a passenger service from Bluff's Cove to Great Waterton. She and Emily cross paths very often. They have been rather close, and Molly always seems to cheer up whenever they talk. She works with John as well. Their first meeting was tense at first, but they became close friends eventually.
